My hearing has been failing over the last few years and hearing aids didn't help much. I owner an older, less expensive set of earphones and was struggling to hear with the volume cranked-up. So, I invested in a set of Sennheiser RS 185's.

These quality wireless headphones from Sennheiser can take input from RCA jacks or Optical. The latter means that if your TV has optical out those of us with less than 20:20 hearing can now hear that murmured dialogue so favoured in US movies.
If you have even glanced at the world of audio products, you would know that Sennheiser holds a significant stature as one of the leading makers of audio experiences. The German company, which celebrates its 70th anniversary this year, has been consistently making great products that truly meets the...
+ Sturdy and comfortable; + Soundstage is massive and immersive; + Excellent sound quality
+ Mids are a bit airy; + Headphones may be heavy for some
Easy to set up, phones very comfortable to wear for long periods. Sound is very good, but expected better for the price. volume could be a tad louder for my liking and a bit of distortion when turned up high.

The Sennheiser RS185 are wireless headphones, but quite unlike the sea of wireless sets you'll see elsewhere. They don't use Bluetooth, but a bespoke RF system that offers much better range and an uncompressed audio stream. That's right, these are ‘hifi' wireless headphones.
Very comfortable; Good sound quality; Reliable wireless with good range
Lower frequencies could be a bit tauter
I've auditioned a number of wireless Sennheiser models over the years and was always satisfied with the sound. Sennheiser claims their latest 'phones are better than ever, and the RS 185 is the best sounding of the twelve wireless models the company currently offers.
New lossless wireless audio technology; Two-year warranty; Lightweight design
Wireless 'phones can't play loud
