I bought for myself a Sennheiser RS-170. I am an audio and video lover and my previous (several ones) headphones were not up to my satisfaction level because either the quality of the sound (hiss, interferences, etc.) or reach.

Great sound/worth every penny

After wasting money on TV Ears headphones, and doing A LOT of research on numerous websites before spending money on these headphones, I chose these Sennheiser headphones and have not regretted it at all. The headphones are comfy on your head and the sound is crystal clear.

Sennheiser RS 170 headphones offer CD-quality sound, sans wires

The $279.95 Sennheiser RS 170 is a set of wireless headphones with a base unit that doubles as a transmitter and a battery charger. One of the nicest things a reviewer can say about wireless headphones is that they don't sound like wireless headphones, and the RS 170 certainly succeeds on that...

The Sennheiser RS 170 is a full-size set of headphones with Kleer wireless technology that delivers CD-quality sound

The awkward placement of the controls on the right earcup may require a longer learning curve for some users; and the transmitter/charger base lacks digital inputs

Sennheiser RS 170 review: Sennheiser RS 170

The $279.95 Sennheiser RS 170 is a set of wireless headphones with a base unit that doubles as a transmitter and a battery charger. One of the nicest things a reviewer can say about wireless headphones is that they don't sound like wireless headphones, and the RS 170 certainly succeeds on that score. Connectivity is limited to just one analog input, which might be a deal breaker for some potential buyers, but the idea is that you hook up the transmitter to your TV or AV receiver, and then run your sources, like your cable box, Blu-ray player, or games, etc., through the TV or receiver. If that's what you're looking to do, the RS 170 is definitely worthy of your consideration.

The RS 170 continues Sennheiser's unchanging dedication to sonic clarity and they're well worth the price for anyone looking to grab wireless sound from a TV, AV receiver, cable box, or game console.

The Sennheiser RS 170 is a full-size set of headphones with Kleer wireless technology that delivers CD-quality sound.

The awkward placement of the controls on the right earcup may require a longer learning curve for some users; and the transmitter/charger base lacks digital inputs.

Half of a solution

You sell the HDR170 wireless headphones but don't list or sell the complete RS170 system on you website. Why offer the HDR170 when a new customer needs the whole thing. Now I have to return the HDR170 and find the RS170 somewhere else.

Wise Choice

Great, in fact, perfect for listening to TV or the stereo when the spouse is on the phone. Tried with the PC - but you can not hear anything else in the house when you wear these. Gamer may like these.

Comfortable; Good Bass; Great Sound; Lightweight

No Mute Button

RS170 review

decided to upgrade to the rs170, so far so good, great range and not many dropouts throughout my house, audio quality is great/fantastic. when it drops out of range it just cuts out with a quiet beep and no static noise. Also no static noise when the audio is not playing after a period of time.
