Sennheiser PXC 450 Active Noise-Cancelling Over-ear Headphone

Meet the Sennheiser PXC 450s, a set of mid-range active noise-cancelling over-ears that are not only super-comfortable, but block out a decent amount of outside noise. While they may not appeal to the most discerning audiophiles, they will absolutely give inter-continental travelers good sound and...

The Sennheiser PXC-450s are folding, noise-cancelling circumaural (around the ear) headphones with NoiseGard 2.0 technology and a TalkThrough switch. Comes with two adaptors (6.3mm and airline) and uses one AAA battery. Weighs 240g.

Transform your seaweed-class (hands in the air) budget airline into a luxury charter jet with the best noise-cancelling cans on the market; Airline pilots use NoiseGard-equipped headsets to tell each other dirty jokes at 35,000 feet, as the tech reduces the loudest roar to little more than a...

Even folded up, the bulky PXC 450s will comprise a significant part of your hand luggage; Basically, they're not meant for any kind of movement – take them to the gym and your neck muscles will get the biggest workout, and the vinyl padding quickly gets unpleasantly sweaty.

Sennheiser PXC-450

After the first few hours, these Sennheisers more than justify the high price. Excellent!

Awesome noise-cancelling technology; Usual superb Sennheiser sonic performance

Expensive; Low-end grunt is slightly lacking

Sennheiser PXC 450 NoiseGard 2.0

Sennheiser as a company, has been around for years, and is definitely not a novice in making high-end headphones. If there are a pair of headphones you can compare the PXC-450 with then it would be Bose's QuietComfort 3. However, the PXC-450 outruns the QC3 with its features.

Sennheiser PXC 450 review

These teutonic ear-coccoons will provide you with the long-haul comfort you so crave from a set of headphones. But can Sennheiser supply the audio excellence to complement the aural massage that the PXC 450s give you?

These noise-cancellers from German can-meisters Sennheiser quell background sound, from jumbo jets to buses, more effectively the any other headphones; The design is endlessly comfortable, even if it does make you look dorkish in the extreme, and it runs on a single AAA, so you don't need to worry...

Reviewing audio gear is a very subjective thing, but there is perhaps something a bit I too I pristine about the PXC 450′s sound; It's a little like being serenaded by the Pod people from Invasion of the Bodysnatchers – uncannily accurate but lacking in warmth.

Pretty good at work

I got these specifically to filter out office noise listening to streams through my computer, as I'm a programmer in a farm of 6x6 cubes (about 25) with a lot of distracting noise. They accomplish that task well, and I am very happy with the sound quality.

Comfortable; Convenient; Easy to use; Good Bass; Great Sound

Great Sound & Comfort

I bought a set of these used. What a great deal! The Audio quality is so good I began using them on my stero system to listen to analog recordings. I replace a set of Beyr Dynamic headphones. These are more comfortable. If you need the noise canceling capability, it also work superb.

Bought these headphone because i have heard them before and also liked the fact that they are noise canceling. The noise canceling works really well on low frequency sounds like plane engines and car noise.

Can be used without batteries when they run out; Great sound quality in bypass mode; Great at noise canceling; Build quality is amazing; Ear cups are SOOO Soft; Detachable Cable

Not to blown away by the look of them; but some people like them

Sennheiser's PXC 450 Headphone

This latest headphone by Sennheiser, the PXC 450, costs around $300, and this is the latest in technology. It acts as your normalheadphone, but with extra features. First of all, this headphone runs on a AAA battery, and that is like 20 hours of mind boggling music runs wild.
