SENNHEISER e614 SUPERCARDIOD CONDENSER MICROPHONE The name Sennheiser is one that is familiar to many people in the professional recording industry. Sennheiser also makes some microphones that are available to entry level home recording enthusiasts as well.

The Sennheiser E 614 is a small diaphragm condenser microphone that is primarily a mic for the studio, but I could see it translating well to the stage. However, since I've only got experience with this mic in the studio, this review will only be focused on this application of the mic.

excellent small diaphragm condenser mic! very natural sounding with an open high end. great for cymbals~~

Great Little Microphone

I use this mic to record acoustic guitar because of the way it picks up percussive elements of picking. So its uses go beyond just miking drums.
