The price was right for us on this purchase, so I proceeded without reference to any reviews. Really, it is just storage, isn't it I am pleased with how small and compact this external drive is. It would be very easy to store it in a drawer or take it with you for business travel, if needed.

2Tb Version I am old so my idea of an external harddrive is a clunky great thing with it's own power source that can be a tad temperamental. That said I have 2 Seagate drives (500Gb and 1Tb) that must be at least 7 years old and still work (when I can find their power cords) and a Western Digital...

Luckily I'm one for redundancy, otherwise I'd be even more disappointed. Seagate's OEM Software is useless. The warranty on the device is useless. RMA process is not even worth the effort as they hold the device for 6+ months. This drive is made cheaply, you can buy $5 enclosures of better quality.

I bought this drive to use as extra memory for my ps4 pro, easy setup literally plug and play super job I have ordered another now to take out of case and install inside my ps4.

Fantastic and easy.

2TB on the built in drive was insufficient, so another 2TB was needed. I plugged it in, followed the prompts and it was working; so far happy with it.

When trying to copy 100GB of data onto the empty drive it did not succeed and a faint clicking noise was heard. Browsing the drive after the attempted copy showed failures. Purchase at your own risk.
