This is NOT a 2.5" drive - it's 3.5". Don't buy from Scan either because it will be your fault that you came from here.
3.5 inch
Let's take a look at the latest 3 TB hard drive from Seagate, the Barracuda 3 TB, and see how it performs when we put it through its paces.
good hard drive. No problem to install. Only had for less than a month but no problems so far.
I added this as a second drive to hold video files. It makes a bit of start-up noise and it is not super fast, but so far - 3 weeks - it is doing the job. It does not come with mounting screws or any cables, just the drive. This is not a sports car, it is an 18 wheeler that will hold a lot of data.
Purchased 3 of these for additional storage to accompany an M.2 - great value for money, and decent performance thus far.
I bought one and it has been shipped back, then the replacement was bad. My hard drive so far the first 30 days has spent more time with USPS than at my house. Look for another brand.
Ive had over 5 Seagate drives die. The proof that its a cheaply made drive is proven by the fact that they cut their 3 year guarantee down to a year. Need I say more?
