Signal cuts in and out
As much as I wanted to like this little radio, RM reception is poor. It suffers from "picket fencing" when strong stations are close in frequency. The signal rhythmically cuts in and out no matter how you extend or orient the antenna. Other portables do fine in the same location.

Sun City in on the outskirts of Phoenix & the radio reception in this area is poor to say the least. I hoped the new radio would be able to pull in my favorite station but no it is just like the other radio's I have. It only receives Spanish speaking stations.

I tend to collect radios lately. From $10 to $300 I must have a dozen or more. Often those ten buck radios will surprise you. Well this one costs twice that but isn't worth five bucks in my opinion.
Pros:
- sound but only at low volume
Cons:
- speaker distorts at anything over half volume Terrible reception and tuning on both AM and FM

Good portable (pocket) analog radio. Decent sound for size. Good battery life. Take it fishing at night in a wet boat all of the time. Not waterproof but pretty durable. Better than those little "AA" throw-away radios. Worth the money.

Great sound
This is a simple radio. But it is very nicely built. The tuning, while manual, firmly locks onto stations. It picks up a lot stations, especially in FM. The most impressive feature of this radio is the sound. Full, rich sound, and quite loud.
