Samsung UN55F8000 review
Samsung F8000 Series information: This review is based on our hands-on experience with the 55-inch UN55F8000 TV. However, our observations also apply to the 46-inch UN46F8000, 60-inch UN60F8000, 65-inch UN65F8000 and the 75-inch UN75F8000.- Excellent Black levels for an LED TV
- Superior brightness and color
- Most beautifully designed TV of the year
- Smooth fast-motion video resolution
- Super-fast user interface
- Poor off-axis performance
- Wide TV stand may limit placement flexibility
- Remote takes getting used to
Samsung UNF8000 review: Coolest TV also the picture-quality hotness
The excellent yet expensive Samsung UNF8000 is a tour de force of LED LCD TV design, features, and picture quality. It might surprise you to learn that mighty Samsung, the dominant force in TVs for the last few years, has a less-than-dominant history in CNET TV reviews. The company's last two top-of-the-line LED LCD series, the UND8000 and UNES8000, produced "just OK" picture quality on a level with many other makers' midrange sets that cost much, much less money. We expect high-end TVs to produce pictures that match their daring designs and kitchen sink features, and when they don't, we dock 'em.- The Samsung UNF8000 LED LCD TV delivers excellent picture quality with deep black levels, accurate color, effective video processing and a uniform screen
- stunning minimalist design with hairline bezel and low-profile stealth stand
- mind-boggling feature list with touch-pad remote, IR blaster with cable box control, four pairs of 3D glasses, motion and voice command, and the industry's most capable Smart TV platform.
- Extremely expensive
- wide stand
- cable box control scheme still inadequate for heavy DVR users.
Not as good as the 7000 series
I have just upgraded from a 46F7000 to the new 55F8000 and found that The new television will not connect to my Networked hard Drive, where I store all my music, photos and videos.
Samsung UE55F8000 LED HDTV Review
Samsung has an uncanny knack of kicking the new TV season off each year by unleashing its all-singing, all-dancing flagship TVs ahead of the competition, setting a high bar right away for rivals to aim for, and establishing a positive buzz around the brand that seems to carry it throughout the year.- Samsung has finally vanquished its backlight inconsistency nemesis to deliver outstanding pictures in both bright and dark room conditions, and with both 2D and 3D content
- The Samsung UE55F8000′s design is something else too, and its multimedia ambitions are positively precocious – including...
- Samsung's picture presets continue to frustrate, with no option provided that might best suit serious film viewing in a darkened room
- We also continue to struggle with Samsung's gesture and voice control options (despite them being improved this year), and the content decisions Samsung has made...
Samsung UN55F8000BF
As the king of Samsung's 1080p LED HDTVs, the F8000 series flourishes a crown encrusted with resplendent jewels like a quad core processor, voice and motion controls, and a Smart Hub overflowing with apps, social media, and smart recommendations.
If you are tempted to treat yourself, do it! It's a purchase you won't regret.
By common consent, this is the best TV on the market as of now (October 2013), or at least one of the best. That will change as the 4k sets come forward and become more affordable, but for now: Number One. The set comes well packaged: lots of polystyrene and other protection.
GREAT TV
This is the best TV I have ever owned. The picture's so clear and when watching a 3D movie it's as good as the theater! I have owned Samsung before but none like this one!
Strong Picture Quality, Several System Issues
Picture quality and black levels are superb on this TV, but several must-have features do not work as expected. Constant Wi-Fi connectivity issues paired with system freezes render the SmartHub applications nearly useless.
