One classy bit of kit: Samsung's 55 inch F8000 3D TV reviewed
In 2012 Samsung introduced a host of new features to its Smart TV line-up, some content and network related, some to provide greater interactivity and control, and in some models, one that fights obsolescence.
Pros:
- Excellent picture quality
- Very good touchpad remote control
- Cloud support
- 3D glasses included
- ‘Evolution' upgradability
Cons:
- No swivel stand
- default sharpness setting up too high

Samsung UE55F8000 LCD TV review
The Samsung UE55F8000 is arguably the most advanced Full HD LED TV you can buy today. Gorgeously designed and generously appointed, it's a screen which will have tech-heads and interior designers dribbling comparable qualities of drool.
Pros:
- Spectacular in every sense
- the design is a minimalist triumph
- user interface is polished
Cons:
- Picture presets don't get the best out of the TV
- motion handling remains an Achilles heel in an artefact sock
- gesture control is still little more than a novelty

Samsung UE55F8000 review Review
As an overall package, the UE55F8000 is just about the best LED screen I've come across. Its motion- and voice-control features are still not much more than gimmicks, but the smart TV system is top notch and the set's picture and audio quality is very strong by LED standards.
Pros:
- Class-leading smart TV system
- Deep black levels by LED standards
- Strong
- bold colours
- Decent audio performance
Cons:
- Motion- and voice-control features are still gimmicky
- 'Crease' across the top and bottom of the display when showing certain images

The F8000 Series is Samsung's top-shelf 1080p LCD television for 2013. Consequently, this TV is loaded with all of the company's best technologies and features. I'm especially happy to see the return of local dimming to this edge-lit LED model.

Samsung UE55F8000 review: Samsung's UE55F8000 has a terrific smart TV system
The UE55F8000 is the best LED TV I've seen so far this year. It has strong picture and audio quality and a truly excellent smart TV system, making it a well-rounded package. Nevertheless, it's hugely expensive and if you mostly use your TV to watch movies in the evening, you'll get the same features, except with better picture quality and at lower price from Samsung's slightly chunkier F8500 plasma. Until its 4K TV arrives in the UK, the UE55F8000 sits at the top of Samsung's 2013 TV lineup. Of course, this means it's packed full of features, including -- deep breath -- voice and motion control technology, a smart TV system that supports all the major UK terrestrial TV catch up services, micro-dimming for deeper black levels, dual tuners for both Freesat and Freeview and active 3D support.
Pros:
- Class-leading smart TV system
- Deep black levels by LED standards
- Strong, bold colours
- Decent audio performance.
Cons:
- Motion- and voice-control features are still gimmicky
- 'Crease' across the top and bottom of the display when showing certain images.

Samsung UN55F8000BF
As the king of Samsung's 1080p LED HDTVs, the F8000 series flourishes a crown encrusted with resplendent jewels like a quad core processor, voice and motion controls, and a Smart Hub overflowing with apps, social media, and smart recommendations.

Samsung UNF8000 review: Coolest TV also the picture-quality hotness
The excellent yet expensive Samsung UNF8000 is a tour de force of LED LCD TV design, features, and picture quality. It might surprise you to learn that mighty Samsung, the dominant force in TVs for the last few years, has a less-than-dominant history in CNET TV reviews. The company's last two top-of-the-line LED LCD series, the UND8000 and UNES8000, produced "just OK" picture quality on a level with many other makers' midrange sets that cost much, much less money. We expect high-end TVs to produce pictures that match their daring designs and kitchen sink features, and when they don't, we dock 'em.
Pros:
- The Samsung UNF8000 LED LCD TV delivers excellent picture quality with deep black levels, accurate color, effective video processing and a uniform screen
- stunning minimalist design with hairline bezel and low-profile stealth stand
- mind-boggling feature list with touch-pad remote, IR blaster with cable box control, four pairs of 3D glasses, motion and voice command, and the industry's most capable Smart TV platform.
Cons:
- Extremely expensive
- wide stand
- cable box control scheme still inadequate for heavy DVR users.
