Samsung UE55F8000 review
UPDATE: while we were wowed by the Samsung UE55F8000 when it launched, newer rivals such as the Panasonic TX-P55VT65B and Philips 55PFL8008 are even more awesome. For that reason the Samsung has dropped to a still very respectable 4 stars. Check out our full, updated Top 10 here .
Pros:
- Great looks on and off screen
- Decent sound
- Smarter than your average bear
Cons:
- Iffy voice control

It is a pretty good TV, it has taken me ages and much support from the Net and Samsung to get a quality picture. However i am still struggling with my picture settings in Gaming Mode. I do not seem to be able to get the perfect picture, still a bit blurry.
Pros:
- Design
- Picture Quality
- Smart Apps
Cons:
- Takes a lot of messing around to get a great picture

Not as good as the 7000 series
I have just upgraded from a 46F7000 to the new 55F8000 and found that The new television will not connect to my Networked hard Drive, where I store all my music, photos and videos.

Great Image Quality But Poor Web Browser
The image is bright, sharp. It is impressive. However, the web browsing is extremely slow and many web contents are not accessible. Basically this feature is useless. Other things else are great! So I give 4 stars rating.
Pros:
- Best looking TV out there
- Energy Efficient
- Great Picture Quality
Cons:
- Poor Internt Accesibility

Samsung UN55F8000BF Review
The Samsung UNF8000 series of LED backlit HDTVs offer solid performance and loads of features in a beautiful streamlined cabinet, but its black levels are mediocre and its ports are awkwardly placed. The Samsung UNF8000 series represents the company's flagship line of 1080p LED-backlit HDTVs, offering a well-balanced blend of style and performance. These sets, available in sizes from 46 to 75 inches, deliver a bright, uniform picture with excellent highlight detail and wide viewing angles. We reviewed the UN46F8000BF, a 46-inch model with a moderately high $1,899.99 (direct) price tag and lots of features like voice control, motion control, a webcam, and 3D support. Port access can be difficult when the set is hung on a wall, however, and black levels are not as dark as we've seen from similar midrange models like the Editors' Choice Panasonic TC-L55ET60 (and not anywhere near high-end plasma screens like Samsung's own PN60F8500). Design and FeaturesThe UN46F8000BF is a beautifully designed HDTV. The 1,920-by-1,080 panel sits inside a svelte cabinet that is only half an inch thick at the top and 1.25 inches thick at the bottom. The black bezels are only a quarter inch wide ...
Pros:
- Slim, stylish design
- Bright, detailed picture
- Generous feature set
Cons:
- Blacks could be darker
- Ports are hard to reach
- Motion commands are erratic

Samsung UNF8000 review: Coolest TV also the picture-quality hotness
The excellent yet expensive Samsung UNF8000 is a tour de force of LED LCD TV design, features, and picture quality. It might surprise you to learn that mighty Samsung, the dominant force in TVs for the last few years, has a less-than-dominant history in CNET TV reviews. The company's last two top-of-the-line LED LCD series, the UND8000 and UNES8000, produced "just OK" picture quality on a level with many other makers' midrange sets that cost much, much less money. We expect high-end TVs to produce pictures that match their daring designs and kitchen sink features, and when they don't, we dock 'em.
Pros:
- The Samsung UNF8000 LED LCD TV delivers excellent picture quality with deep black levels, accurate color, effective video processing and a uniform screen
- stunning minimalist design with hairline bezel and low-profile stealth stand
- mind-boggling feature list with touch-pad remote, IR blaster with cable box control, four pairs of 3D glasses, motion and voice command, and the industry's most capable Smart TV platform.
Cons:
- Extremely expensive
- wide stand
- cable box control scheme still inadequate for heavy DVR users.
