Samsung Gear Fit 2 review: Fit Up, Look Sharp
Between the Gear S3 Frontier and the Gear IconX smart headphones Samsung already has a healthy collection of wearable tech to hand. The Samsung Gear Fit 2, however, is something different. Not just from what Samsung has on offer, but different from the rest of the market too.- Accurate distance and heart-rate tracking
- solid notification options
- cool and comfortable design
- bright and crisp display
- Uninspiring battery life
- S Health lacks training advice
- live data is limited
Reasonable value. Very light. Stylish
Worthwhile. Light. Simple to use. Only 2.5 days charge
Samsung Gear Fit2
Considering it's taken months for the Samsung Gear Fit2 to finally cross the pond, it wasn't with the highest of expectations that I first slapped it on my wrist. Following two weeks of use, however, I've come away impressed. It's definitely the best fitness wearable Samsung has produced.- Great notification management
- Vibrant display
- Accurate distance and HRM tracking
- Useful activity tracking and prompts
- Lacking training insight
- Spotty bodyweight exercise rep counting

Good but the auto tracking becoms irritating
Ive had this product about 6 months, overall its pretty good but there is a few features id change. The auto tracking irritates me. If youre just going about doing day to day stuff, it will detect youre doing a workout, which i personally dont like and i don't think really give an accurate reading...
Very disappointed--floor count extremely inaccurate and battery life abysmal
Very disappointed--purchased two identical Gear Fit 2s for my daughter and me two weeks ago. I really want to love this product--it has a beautiful screen, personalization options, and is a great interface with my Samsung Galaxy S6 (messages and e-mails display perfectly and are easy to read, as...
S2 stands on its own
The Gear S2 is my first fitness tracker so I don't have anything to compare it with, but overall I'm very happy with it. Before buying it I read most of the reviews on tech and gadget websites so I had a pretty good idea of the Fit 2's extensive feature set as well as potential...
Performs well
Overall what I expected. Has a few awkward limitations that could be improved on (sleep, auto sync frequency, etc. ).
Poor Quality
Wrist band broke after 3 months and now it won't charge. Technology is OK with my Samsung phone, will never buy another one. For the price, not worth it. Has the quality of a cheap toy.
Samsung Gear Fit2 review
The Samsung Gear Fit2 doesn't really fit the category assigned to it – rather, it's a wearable that falls somewhere between fitness tracker and smartwatch . In other words, it's not quite either.- Affordable price
- GPS and top features
- Crisp display
- Comfy fit
- Low battery life
- Lacks compatibility options
- Questionable heart rate tracking
- Text-reply is limited
