Samsung Gear Fit 2 review: For those who like to mix up their fitness routines
The Gear Fit 2 is one of the pricier options in the market, especially if you consider Fitbit Charge 2, or Fitbit Alta 2, Garmin VivoSmart 2, Misfit Shine 2, etc. I'm not impressed with the battery life, although I'd say this is better suited to those who like to do more than one activity for...
Samsung Gear Fit 2 review: more smartwatch than fitness tracker
The Samsung Gear Fit 2 is more evolution than revolution. Unlike other fitness trackers, it adds valuable smartwatch features to a slim and simple design but that seems to come at the price of inaccurate, and oddly vague fitness readings.- It's slim
- sleek and hardy with a waterproof body
- That screen is utterly
- utterly gorgeous
- Its smartwatch skills can rival Android Wear
- Fitness tracking feels more like fitness guessing
- The Tizen store remains fairly empty
- Although improved
- Samsung's smartphone apps are still problematic
Great fitness watch but its not a all day watch!!
This is a great fitness band with loads of features and looks great as well on the wrist. My only major major concern is the auto tracking!! Yup, U head it right.. One of its main feature is a big problem.
Samsung Gear Fit2 review: Stylish and feature-packed
Samsung splashes its "Gear" brand onto everything from cameras to VR headsets. In this case, the Gear Fit2 is an upmarket fitness-tracking watch that partners with your Android phone, providing message notifications as well as health data.
"Samsung Gear Fit 2"
smartband this one glance looks like most smartband in general, but in fact there are features and the latest technology carries. samsung gear fit 2 consists of modules with a curved screen amoled 1,5inci and with a rubber strip that can be easily removed, the screen itself has a very good quality...- features a fairly complete fitness tracking
- Not to support iOS devices
Samsung Gear Fit2 review
At £179, Samsung has hit the perfect price point for the Gear Fit2. It’s stocked full of tech, with GPS tracking really adding value to the original model’s otherwise comprehensive set of sensors. Factor in the sleek design, and this fitness tracker has everything you’d need, whether you’re a couch potato searching for motivation or a gym-dweller looking for more training discipline. But this impressive hardware feels wasted when there’s such a poor choice of apps to go with it. Sure, the basic software will mostly do the job, but it still feels like wasted potential. Saying that, there’s still plenty of time for Samsung to fill their store with content. And why should we be so obsessed with extra content when it does the bare essentials so well? If you just want a smart-looking fitness tracker to encourage you to finally fulfil your New Year’s Resolution, the Gear Fit2 has more than enough to get you over that hurdle. - Activity tracking makes this smarter than the average Gear
- Great value overall
- An app store devoid of life
- Very little stamina

Samsung Gear Fit 2 in-depth review - Fit as a fiddle
When the biggest caveat is a short charging cable then you know there's little else wrong with the Samsung Gear Fit 2. While it will certainly not be replacing your smartwatch, there's not much it can't do.- Bright curved Super AMOLED display
- tracks with pinpoint accuracy
- loads of watch face options
- comfortable
- flawlessly designed
- Average battery life
- S Health is mandatory
- Can't interact using your voice
In the world of wearables, Fitbit is one of the most common names – it has achieved near ubiquity with the term ‘fitness trackers', which in turn has helped it become the obvious leader in the market.
- Built-in GPS
- Tracks a lot of types of exercise
- AMOLED screen looks great and makes navigation a breeze
- Extended notification support
- Store region-locking is frustrating
- Can't track swimming
- Display is weak outdoors
Samsung Gear Fit 2 [Review]
Samsung launched the Gear Fit 2 back in the Summer of 2016 as the successor to their original smartband that was called the Gear Fit. Around the late Fall (early Winter) Samsung provided us with a unit and I pretty much put it through its paces.
