Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 5 review: A marginal improvement
Samsung’s top-end foldable gets pricier but the upgrades are hard to spot- Thinner and lighter than Z Flip 5, Better battery life and performance, Useful new software features
- Even more expensive than last year, Same cameras as last year, S Pen isn’t included in the box
Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 5 (256GB, Blue) Australian Stock - Excellent review
A few generations in, Samsung’s Galaxy Fold is still one of the company’s most intriguing ideas. Very few competitors have truly tried taking it on, and here in Australia, it is still the only foldable tablet that is readily available.- Still a cool concept, Slimmer than previous generations, Powerful, Water resistance
- Expensive, Cameras can't match the S23 Ultra, even if this is a more pricey phone, S-Pen costs extra, Pen can only be equipped in the case, Doesn't do a whole lot of different, Feels like a spec update
Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 5 review: a little better is just good enough
Samsung’s head start in foldables is paying off, but it’ll have to do more next time around to stay in front.- Powerful multitasking features with a sleek inner screen experience, New hinge folds flat, Good software support policy, including four OS upgrades
- Still expensive, Still chunky and relatively heavy, Long-term durability is still uncertain
Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 5 review: No longer the best
The Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 5 builds on the previous-generation, but newly goes up against some serious competition. Does it compete?- Well-designed, Nice displays, Solid battery, Good performance
- Form-factor is limiting, Expensive

The Z Fold 5 is Samsung’s best foldable but I hate it
The new Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 5 shaves off all the sharp edges that might have put folks off foldable smartphones in the past, but what's left rarely feels worth the trouble let alone the high price-point.- Fantastic for multitasking, Zero gap hinge, Top-notch specs
- Disappointing camera, S-Pen feels like an afterthought, Premium price
Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 5 review
It’s summer time, which means it’s time for new folding phones from Samsung. Today at its Galaxy Unpacked event in Seoul (South Korea), the company unveiled the Galaxy Z Flip5 ($999) and Galaxy Z Fold5 ($1799). But as you’ll soon discover, “new” is a bit of a stretch here.
Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 5 review
In February 2020 , Samsung planted its flag in the sand. Screen issues aside, the original Galaxy Fold was met with a mixed response. “Innovation for innovation’s sake” was a common refrain. The wildly expensive device arrived at just a hair under $2,000.
Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 5 review: the most powerful folding phone-tablet
For its fifth generation, Samsung’s folding phone-tablet is lighter, thinner, feels better built and is a more mature device than ever. The Z Fold 5 is still extremely expensive – the price you pay for the still cutting-edge technology that makes the folding screen work – and it must be treated with...- Pros: a phone and tablet in one, powerful multitasking abilities, phone-like outside screen, fantastic tablet screen, top performance, great battery life, water resistance, gap-free when closed and lighter.
- Cons: extremely expensive, more fragile than a regular device and costly to repair, no dust resistance, thicker than a normal phone, not a big leap over the previous generation.
Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 5 (256GB, Blue) Australian Stock - Excellent review
We’re five years deep into Samsung’s Galaxy Z line. Last year, in our review, I wrote that the Galaxy Z Fold 4 was “nearly perfected.” As you’ll read below, the new Galaxy Z Fold 5 for 2023 is improved upon, but still not quite perfect. Whether it’s Samsung still not... #GalaxyZFold5 #Reviews
