The Samsung Galaxy Tab S7 Plus is an ambitious offering from Samsung, with a premium build and a fantastic screen that's unlike any tablet display we've seen before. However, the lack of developer support for apps on Android tablets takes a toll on what is othewise a top iPad competitor.

But then we get to the price: $849 for the base model. This puts Samsung's flagship Android tablet in iPad Pro territory. Is the Galaxy Tab S7 Plus worth the upgrade? Can it compete with Apple's flagship tablet? So far, my impressions of the tablet are mostly positive.

The Samsung Galaxy Tab S7 Plus is likely the best Android tablet ever, with blistering performance offered by the Snapdragon 865+ and an unrivalled display. If you are used to the Android experience then you’ll have a great time with this, and the S Pen is a nice bonus.

This is a fantastic device...its very responsive and fast. The screen is just beautiful to look at. Videos look fabulous and colour quality is excellent. Been looking forward to buying and using this for months...

There’s no doubt the Galaxy Tab S7+ is the best tablet Samsung has ever made. It is leagues ahead of the company’s previous efforts and most definitely the best Android tablet you can buy, too.

Pros: fantastic screen, great performance and battery, good speakers, good webcam, USB-C, microSD card slot, Dex, split-screen, good fingerprint scanner, S Pen.

Cons: expensive, keyboard case expensive accessory, not all apps support Dex mode, some apps quit or crash when resizing, mouse support is inconsistent, no headphone socket.
