Samsung Galaxy Tab S6 Lite: With cuts (mostly) in the right places, the Galaxy Tab S6 Lite is the Android tablet to beat
Great price; S Pen stylus included; Excellent battery life
No AMOLED screen; No DEX support
We miss the sharper OLED screen of the Samsung Galaxy Tab S5e, sure, but when that tablet lacks stylus support, the Galaxy Tab S6 Lite's inclusion of one in the box makes for a very tempting tablet with sketching and note-taking possibilities.
S-Pen is great for sketching - and comes included; Lovely metal build; Good stereo speakers; Long battery life
Loses the sharper OLED screen of the Tab S5e/S6; Not as powerful as the cheapest iPad; No Samsung DeX
There’s a lot of value in Samsung’s base-level tablet, but you have to want it
Excellent build quality and size; Included SPen is a nice touch; Great battery life
The screen could be a little better; Android on tablets is not great; Not a speed demon
The Samsung Galaxy Tab S6 Lite is a well-rounded iPad competitor, and it’s arguably the best non-premium tablet the company has ever put out. It has strengths, from the inclusion of the S Pen to software customization options and a fairly robust and good-looking design.
Robust design; Plentiful UI customization options; S Pen stylus included
Some issues with S Pen; Can be a little sluggish in use; Android not perfectly optimized for tablets
Stylus comes included; good battery life; simple and solid design; has a headphone jack
Screen could be better; no first-party keyboard case; face recognition is just OK
Tablets these days, including the iPad, don’t have cutting edge designs. Despite improvements to the underlying hardware, most still have giant bezels and designs that haven’t radically changed in close to half a decade. This remains true with the Galaxy Tab S6 Lite.
Solid build quality, S Pen included, Decent battery life, Samsung apps great for note taking
Underpowered, Android apps not always optimised for tablet form factor
For tablet users who love the idea of sketching and note-taking but don't want to pay another £90 for an Apple Pencil, the Samsung Galaxy Tab is a great buy. However, some small tracking errors, an LCD screen and Android niggles prevent the Tab S6 Lite from ranking with the best
Includes S Pen stylus; Excellent for artists and note-takers; Good sound with 3.5mm headphone jack
LCD screen; not OLED or AMOLED; Imperfect writing-to-text software; Some palm rejection issues
A well-rounded and sensibly-priced tablet that almost goes toe-to-toe with the entry-level iPad. Android isn't quite as slick as iOS on bigger screens, but the Tab S6 Lite is still a great value device for streaming and sketching
Great all-round performance for the price; Includes a stylus in the box; Speakers have real punch
Basic iPad has more power; Android not the perfect tablet OS
slim chassis; S-Pen included; high-contrast TFT screen; good stereo sound; long battery runtime
no fingerprint scanner; no NFC; mediocre Wi-Fi receiving performance; good camera pictures require daylight; limited performance for modern games; throttling under load
The Samsung Galaxy Tab S6 Lite brings you the S Pen essentials in a compact body with an easy-to-swallow price tag
Affordable tablet with excellent stylus experience; Light; comfy design for on-the-go work; Great speakers
Performance is choppy; No DeX; no Themes; no Game Launcher; Don't expect a Keyboard Book Cover for this one; No secure biometric lock
