Samsung Galaxy S9 Plus review: The Galaxy S9 Plus is terrific, but wait a month until after the Galaxy S10 arrives
Samsung's most robust Galaxy S9 of 2018 is still a good buy, but not until after the Galaxy S10 starts selling. Times have changed since Samsung revealed the Galaxy S9, Galaxy S9 Plus and even the Galaxy Note 9 last August. The Galaxy S10 ($330 at Amazon) looms large on the horizon, launching on Feb. 20 in San Francisco -- this year we expect three new models, including a cheaper Galaxy S10 E, or S10 Lite. Normally the Galaxy S10 Plus would steal the show, but we're also expecting Samsung to tease or even fully unleash its first 5G Galaxy S10 model, and it first foldable phone, which the company briefly showed off this past November.- The Galaxy S9 Plus one-ups the excellent Galaxy S9 with a second rear camera for taking portrait photos.
- Battery life fell short of last year's model in our early tests, and the Galaxy S9 Plus suffers from the same underbaked extras as the smaller Galaxy S9
- The dual-aperture camera tends to overexpose low-light photos in auto mode.

One of the biggest unveils at this year's was the new and highly anticipated and , which we were lucky enough to get some hands-on preview time with for you . Samsung's Galaxy S9 series doesn't look a whole lot different than the previous generation Galaxy S8 and 8+ line.

Samsung Galaxy S9+ Plus (64GB, Midnight Black) - Excellent review
There’s no doubting that Samsung’s Galaxy S9+ is a top phone, and given what it had to work with, it’s no surprise. The Galaxy S8 and S8+ were excellent handsets, clones of each other set to bigger sizes, and using those as a template practically guarantees more excellence from Samsung.- Still a great design, Fantastic performance, Some of the fastest 4G around, Excellent screen, Really solid camera, Fingerprint sensor is in a better location, Biometric security is good, Water resistant, Supports wireless charging, Includes a decent pair of wired AKG in-earphones and a case in the...
- Low-light isn't great for video, AR Emoji is a very unimpressive gimmick, Battery life could be better, Bixby can get it very, very wrong, Expensive

Samsung Galaxy S9 Plus
Samsung's flagship smartphone was announced at Mobile World Congress, back in February 2018. Both the S9 and the S9 Plus were announced on the same day, with the S9 Plus being both bigger and having some additional features, particularly to the camera.
Samsung Galaxy S9+ Review: Still The #1 Android Phone
A very capable flagship with lots to love, but the back-step in battery performance is disappointing. The camera is easily the best on the market by a country mile, as is the display, while CPU performance is also great - however, you do pay quite a lot for all this- Excellent display
- Top-tier processor performance
- Superb best-in-class camera
- Attractive design
- Waterproofing
- Battery life has taken a hit
- Expensive
- UI foibles
