I'm kind of torn about the Galaxy S9+. It improves on the best Android phone of last year in several key ways, including in performance, low-light photography and slow-motion video recording.

Samsung Galaxy S9 Plus
Improving on an already near-perfect phone was always going to be difficult for Samsung, but the Galaxy S9 Plus has fixed the select few problems we had with last year's Trusted Reviews Phone of the Year.
Pros:
- Feels great for a big phone
- The OLED display is great and highly customisable
- Numerous camera features on offer
Cons:
- Iterative upgrade
- AR Emoji are just bad
- Some lag with Samsung's software

Review: Samsung Galaxy S9+
The Galaxy S9+, like its predecessor, is an excellent smartphone with a fabulous screen and great performance. It's also more power-efficient and can be charged all the way up to 100 per cent in around 80 minutes.

Cons:
- Average battery life
- 'Intelligent Scan' is glitchy
- duplicate apps - and Bixby still needs work

Beautiful and smartly designed
Loving this phone so far. Upgraded from the Galaxy S6 edge and I'm really enjoying the quality of the screen, camera, and overall layout of this phone. I love the side panel for frequently used apps instead of having them covering the home screen.

Samsung Galaxy S9+ review: A disappointing fall from grace
The Samsung Galaxy S9+ should be the best phone of its generation, but a number of small grievances unite to diminish its appeal. It's technically capable, to be sure, but it's far from perfect.

- Average battery life
- Poor quality photos on auto
- Bixby is still annoying
