Samsung S9 review: a refined Android flagship with show-stealing camera

The Samsung Galaxy S9 is, in terms of hardware and design, an iterative update of last year's Galaxy S8 . The S9 features the exact same screen as last year's phone, the same amount of RAM and storage, the same capacity battery, and an almost identical design, too.

12MP rear camera with dual-aperture technology; Still fabulous Super AMOLED 18.5:9 QHD+ screen; AR Emoji; while not perfect; are lots of fun

Similar specs to the Galaxy S8

Samsung Galaxy S9 review: predictably great, predictably flawed

The Galaxy S9 is all of the good and all of the bad we've come to expect from Samsung

Great design; Beautiful display; Fast performance; Capable camera; A headphone jack; Great design; Beautiful display; Fast performance; Capable camera; A headphone jack

Average battery life; Gimmicks galore; Bixby still sucks; Samsung has a poor history of updating its phones; Average battery life; Gimmicks galore; Bixby still sucks; Samsung has a poor history of updating its phones

Samsung Galaxy S9 review

The Samsung Galaxy S9 is the phone that's supposed to lead the charge where the Galaxy S8 , one of the best phones we've ever tested, left off - but it's not as much of an upgrade, even though it's our top pick for best camera phone .

Swift biometric security; Awesome low-light performance; The most powerful Android phone out

Design is identical to S8; Some camera snaps lack vibrancy; Expensive

But the battery life leaves much to be desired and there is a sense that the Galaxy S9 is overly familiar. Plus, you can get a phone that's better in almost every sense if you can stretch to the Galaxy S9 Plus.

+ Brilliant screen; + Very powerful; + Good camera

- Overly familiar; - Disappointing battery; - Expensive

Samsung Galaxy S9 Review: Class Glass

So, my final words for the Samsung Galaxy S9 and S9+ would be that these are the best options for flagship devices in Nepal right now. Yes, the iPhone X is a direct competitor but is a little bit expensive, the Mate 10 Pro is has begun to lose its charm and the Huawei P20 Pro is yet launch here.

Top-quality display; Sleek Design; Minimalistic Bezels; Great Camera

Battery Life; Unfinished AR Emoji; Low-quality slow-motion video @960fps

Samsung Galaxy S9

The Samsung Galaxy S9 sits alongside the S9+ as the latest flagship smartphones from Samsung. Both phones are notable in that they are the first smartphones to offer cameras with a variable aperture lens, that is one that you can control yourself.

There are a couple of really good reasons to buy the Samsung Galaxy S9, the biggest of which is its size. The compact dimensions, comfortable form factor and overall quality of the package make a lot of sense, particularly considering that there's also a Rs 7,000 price difference between the two...

Samsung Galaxy S9

The Galaxy S9 is both powerful and ergonomic, but there's no telling apart from the older Galaxy S8.

Compact and ergonomic; Bright low-light photos

Conservative performance; Poor battery

Samsung Galaxy S9 review: Not perfect, but still a stellar phone

Samsung's Galaxy S9 and Galaxy S9 Plus were announced in late February and went on sale in the middle of March. Since that time, ZDNet's Matthew Miller reviewed the bigger Galaxy S9 Plus, proclaiming the device is "Android perfection achieved."

Fast; reliable performance; It has a headphone jack; Reliable camera

Battery life; Super Slo-Mo is good; but not great

Despite not feeling like a major improvement over last year's flagship, the Galaxy S9 is still one of the best phones around. Samsung's improvements to its latest flagship work as promised, but don't feel like features that you'd miss by not upgrading.

Good cameras especially in low light; Superior performance; Gorgeous design

No major change since last generation; Lacks the Plus' dual cameras
