Samsung's Galaxy S9 is a strange breed of smartphone. With a Snapdragon 845 processor, great camera, and 18:9 screen, it has all the trappings of a fantastic 2018 handset. Yet, at the same time, it's remarkably similar to the Galaxy S8 that it replaces.

The S9 is top of the line. This is my 3rd Samsung phone. Ive had an S3 then an S5 which was still going strong after 5 years. So far the S9 has exceeded my expectations.

It may not be the revolutionary step-up that the S8 was, but the S9 is still the best Android smartphone you can buy at this moment in time

After my time with the S9 I have to admit there is a lot to like, and a few things that could use a little improvement here or there. From the front, this looks exactly like the older model the S8, and some people will not like the fact their expensive new smartphone looks the same as their friends...

Very nice phone; As a former flagship model, it's as fast as I would expect it to be

I'm not wild about the gold colour, but it was the lowest price; I also thought the battery life would be a bit better, but it's not too terrible

Despite not feeling like a major improvement over last year's flagship, the Galaxy S9 is still one of the best phones around. Samsung's improvements to its latest flagship work as promised, but don't feel like features that you'd miss by not upgrading.

Samsung has gone down the Apple route of only making minor tweaks, but this has resulted in one of the best Android phones this year
