Fantastic Low-light Photos
All of those rave reviews mention the S9's camera, particularly its ability to capture great low-light photos. This is thanks to the F1.5 aperture mode and multi frame noise reduction, so photos taken in a darker light come out bright and detailed. Another game-changing feature is the Dual Aperture lens which adapts, according to Samsung, like the human eye. Interior improvements
Samsung Galaxy S9 looks like the predecessor S8 from the outside except that the fingerprint sensor now resides below the camera. However, there are many improvements inside the shell. New features include cool new AI Emojis and a live translator (just point the camera at a sign or text and it translates the content instantly).
There are four colours to choose from: coral blue, midnight black, lilac purple and titanium grey. The Galaxy S9+ complements S9.

Last year Samsung didn't unveil a Galaxy smartphone at MWC 17, instead focusing on its manufacturing standards and unveiling the Galaxy S8 a couple of months later. The move proved a smart one, with the Galaxy S8 taking top spot in our books as the best phone of the year.- Impressive design

But the battery life leaves much to be desired and there is a sense that the Galaxy S9 is overly familiar. Plus, you can get a phone that's better in almost every sense if you can stretch to the Galaxy S9 Plus.

Last year’s Galaxy S8 and S8+ were excellent but not flawless smartphones. Samsung had molded probably the best-rounded devices, with unrivaled display tech, blazing fast camera performance, and a feature-packed design.
The Samsung Galaxy S9 is smaller than the Galaxy S9+, and that's a good thing. The single-camera setup at the rear keeps up on most counts with the dual-camera setup on the S9+. There's also less RAM on the Samsung Galaxy S9, but on the face of it that doesn't really matter.

The G7 ThinQ shares many of the S9’s features, including an expansive display, powerful processor and dual-lens camera with special low-light capturing capabilities. But we still don’t know the G7’s price and haven’t put the device through its paces on the Tom’s Guide suite of tests.

Yes, but only if you're in need of an upgrade. It’s hard to spend weeks with one of the best smartphones on the market and arrive at the conclusion that you feel somewhat indifferent about it, but I can’t help but feel that way at the moment.- Top-of-the-line camera, Long battery life, A breeze to use

Bought as upgrade/replacement for s7 edge that broke while travelling in europe. Battery life sucks, narrower body is awkward to use, lack of home button makes it more difficult to operate. On the plus side, the camera is a big step up for low light pictures but it's poor value for money.
