Samsung Galaxy S8 Plus : Better battery life and a bigger screen but it'll cost you review
There’s no question the S8+ is a phenomenal phone - it’s got a truly top-notch camera, Retina-busting resolution, and a design to die for. The iPhone looks positively prehistoric in comparison. Is it better than its smaller brother, though? That’s tricky. This plus-sized beauty feels thoughtfully big, with Samsung putting in the right features and getting the design right so you can use all that space without it feeling unwieldy. But the screen isn’t dramatically bigger, and battery life is only slightly better. Whether those marginal gains are worth paying £100 extra for are entirely down to how much you value having slightly more screen space. To answer the question asked at the start of this review: bigger might be better - even if there’s not that much differentiation in the S8+’s case. Pros:
- Stunning design is unbeatable by any other phone right now
- Incredible performance that comes into its own with DeX Station
- Camera quality among the best you’ll find in in a phone
Cons:
- Size won’t be for everyone
- Fingerprint sensor slightly awkwardly placed
- £100 more than the already excellent S8

Samsung Galaxy S8+ review: The best Android phone, bar none
Samsung has broken the mould with its Galaxy S8 handsets, producing two devices that are the same spec, apart from screen size and battery capacity. If you want this phone, just pick the size that fits you with no compromises or additional considerations.

- great camera
- refined and full-featured user interface
- option to avoid Samsung bloatware for best software experience yet
- eye-catchingly gorgeous design
Cons:
- Internal speaker isn't great
- Bixby isn't fully realised
- rear fingerprint scanner takes a backseat to iris scanning
- Bixby button feels like it could be doing something else
- undeniably expensive

Samsung has hit the bull's eye with the launch of Galaxy S8 and S8 Plus and it has all the reasons to be happy and smiling once again, while making others to sweat more with their design and pricing. And when I got hold of the Galaxy S8 Plus for the first time, it was mesmerizing.

Samsung Galaxy S8 Plus
If you're yet to decide between the Samsung Galaxy S8 or the Galaxy S8+, then there's only one thing you need consider: how big do you want your phone? For most people, the smaller 5.5-inch S8 will be best. It's more manageable in one hand, and will comfortably fit in your pocket.
Pros:
- Stunning design
- Great software experience
- Camera is reliable in any light
- The best screen on any phone
Cons:
- Bixby remains useless
- Generally bad fingerprint scanner

It's pretty hard not to be impressed with the Galaxy S8+, despite its tall design, especially because at this point, it's undoubtedly the best smartphone on the market. While Apple has long been considered the innovator of the smartphone business, the latest 2 generations of the iPhone were based on...
