Samsung Galaxy S8 Dual SIM SM-G950FD 64GB

Rating 4.3 104 reviews

Samsung Galaxy S8 is the new flagship phone from Samsung. The Korean company announced it on March the 29th 2016.

The screen measures 5.8 inches and almost covers the entire front area thanks to the curved edges and the removal of the physical home button. Samsung applies an Infinitive Design for the screen, which makes it appear larger than it is. The aspect ratio is slightly taller than most other phones at 18.5 x 9. This aspect ratio allows Samsung to offer split screens and therefore two apps can be viewed at the same time.

Galaxy S8 comes with Samsung's own voice assistant called Bixby and offers face recognition in addition to iris scanning and fingerprint sensor.

Galaxy S8

The past few months have been a humbling time for Samsung. The Galaxy Note 7's explosive debut and double recall eventually led to an unprecedented cancellation of Samsung's flagship device. The recall process and resulting investigation kept the company's name in the mud for months and months.
Pros:
  • A slim-bezel design finally brings a more modern design to the Galaxy line
  • On-screen buttons allow for smaller bezels
  • bigger screens
  • and a customizable (and correctable) button order
  • Samsung's always-on hard-press home button is an awesome and innovative feature
  • Samsung Pay combination of NFC...
Cons:
  • The gimmicks
  • The iris scanner, curved screen, and heart rate sensor all seem designed to give talking points to your local Verizon salesperson, rather than provide a good user experience for customers, The glass back is fragile and a fingerprint magnet, Touchwiz is still a janky lag-fest.

Samsung Galaxy S8 review

Samsung has taken the best phone around and made it even better with an impressive Infinity screen and premium design. It ticks a shedload of boxes - as you'd expect from a flagship. It's the best phone of 2017 so far, but it is expensive and the biometrics are a let down.

Samsung Galaxy S8 Expert Review

The Galaxy S8 is without a doubt the most attractive Galaxy flagship yet. The new design is sleek, streamlined and modern – a real break with the previous designs – and the phone's operation is smooth, fast and hiccup free. That said, it's not flawless.
