There you have it – a definitive review of the Galaxy S6 Edge. Summing it up in just one sentence, I'd say that the Galaxy S6 Edge is the smartphone that redefines what a modern flagship smartphone should be.

Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge Smartphone Review

With or without a rounded display, the smartphones from the Galaxy S6-series are equipped with the latest hardware components and the Galaxy S6 Edge once again shows how innovative the Koreans can be.

Good display; Sophisticated materials; Great build quality; Thin and light; Fast SoC; Great camera; Good WLAN signal; High Bluetooth range; Great voice quality; Wireless charging; Quick charge

Storage not expandable; Neither MHL nor DLNA; No IP certification anymore; Mediocre GPS accuracy; Poor headset; Weak speaker

Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge Review

Hands down, the Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge is one of, if probably not the best, smartphone today. The device may go head-to-head with a lot of recently announced flagships in the high-end market, and also with the emergence of powerful, yet budget-friendly devices from China and other local...

Battery life kills it. I became one of those iphone user always running for a power outlet...

The short battery life is extremely frustrating especially while traveling which I do regularly. It is always in the back of my mind that I need to check the battery and plug-in whenever I have a chance to insure I don't run out.

Beautiful Look; fun novelty with the edge screen (but more battery hogging

Often need to charge 3 times in a day; My Sony Xperia used to last under full use for 3 days

Over the last few years, Samsung has been heavily criticized for their build quality and heavy use of plastic, with consumers eagerly awaiting a design overhaul with every flagship release.

Beautiful and solid metal/glass design; Gorgeous display; Fantastic camera; Revitalized software is snappier and less bloated; Improved fingerprint scanner; Unique curved edge glass; Loud single speaker; Wireless charging

Lacks expandable storage (subjective; No removable battery (subjective; No IP certification for dust and water resistance; Average battery life

About a year ago, we were in a similar spot. We had the , rand were comparing it to rivals from LG, Motorola, Apple, and Sony (just to name a few). Twelve months have passed, and as fate would have it, we've got yet another pair of Galaxy phones in the labs.

Overall Pleased

I've had this phone since about a month after it came out. Although I don't usually buy phones for their looks I completely got this one because of the edge screen. I don't use any of the features of the edge screen but it looks beautiful nonetheless.

Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge

Attention may currently be firmly locked on the recently unveiled Galaxy S6 Edge+ , but it's important to remember there's a smaller alternative option for smartphone buyers looking to reap the benefits of Samsung's "Edge display tech.

Best cameras on any phone; Innovative design; Superb build quality; Fantastic screen; Monstrous performance

Curve screen just for show; Tricky to hold; Costs more than S6; No SD card slot anymore; Gaming hurts battery life badly

Samsung's Galaxy S6 Edge reviewed

Flat phones are so passé, it seems, with the Galaxy S6 Edge showing us a future of curved smartphone goodness. Is this a taste of the future, or merely a gimmick demanding top dollar?

A design that looks totally different; because no one has curved screens like this; Curved screen is very cool; Built with premium materials; Great performance; Like the S6; an absolutely fantastic and bright screen; One of the best cameras in the business; Practically bloat-free version of Android,...

Battery could be better and isn't removable; No expandable memory; Water-resistance not part of the package; Curved screen doesn't really feel as useful as it did on the Note Edge; Expensive… very expensive
