Samsung's Galaxy S6 Edge reviewed
Flat phones are so passé, it seems, with the Galaxy S6 Edge showing us a future of curved smartphone goodness. Is this a taste of the future, or merely a gimmick demanding top dollar?
Pros:
- A design that looks totally different
- because no one has curved screens like this
- Curved screen is very cool
- Built with premium materials
- Great performance
- Like the S6
- an absolutely fantastic and bright screen
- One of the best cameras in the business
- Practically bloat-free version of Android,...
Cons:
- Battery could be better and isn't removable
- No expandable memory
- Water-resistance not part of the package
- Curved screen doesn't really feel as useful as it did on the Note Edge
- Expensive… very expensive

Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge. in-depth review - Infinity pool of uniqueness
Samsung have been at the wrong end of a lot of jokes in the past year owing to the less than exciting sales of the S5. They sold a bucket load of S4s in the first three months of its launch. 40 million to be exact.
Pros:
- Stunning screen
- Unique design Simplified UI
- Pitch-perfect performance
Cons:
- Incredibly expensive
- No expandable memory
- Themes not there yet
- ‘Edge' doesn't do much

About a year ago, we were in a similar spot. We had the , rand were comparing it to rivals from LG, Motorola, Apple, and Sony (just to name a few). Twelve months have passed, and as fate would have it, we've got yet another pair of Galaxy phones in the labs.

Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge - The Empire Strikes Back
When it comes to smartphones, Apple's biggest advantage is its impeccable sense of design and usability. Love it or hate, Apple knows how to make a desirable device. With the Galaxy S6 and Galaxy S6 Edge, Samsung might have just taken that advantage away.
Pros:
- Slick and sophisticated design
- Fantastic camera
- Beautiful screen
Cons:
- Curved display is mostly aesthetic
- Charging over anything but Samsung's official charger is slow
- TouchWiz still needs a bit more work

Galaxy S6 Edge is an example of brilliant engineering that finally clears the doubt about Samsung's abilities to produce a true flagship product. It is the Android smartphone that could kill the urge to shift to the latest iPhone for features such as design, camera and UI.
Pros:
- Sharpest display in the market
- camera beats every other smartphone
- a design that turns every head
- snappy performance
Cons:
- Needs to be handled carefully due to less ergonomic design
- Battery life is good but not the best in the race of flagships
- Samsung TouchWiz has improved but still stutter at some places
- heats up during continues usage
- No microSD card slot
- hefty price

Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge review: Striking curved design makes this the S6 to crave
Samsung's striking, high-end Galaxy S6 Edge has the beauty, brains and brawn to take down the iPhone 6 and all the Android competition. Editors' note (March 28, 2017): Samsung has unveiled the Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8 Plus, the follow ups to 2016's excellent Galaxy S7 and S7 Edge. Priced at $750 (£689 and AU$1,199), the Galaxy S8 features a beautifully curved 5.8-inch screen with an ultra-narrow bezel; facial recognition as an alternative way to unlock the phone; and Samsung's nascent Bixby voice assistant. The S8 Plus costs a bit more -- $850, £779 or AU$1349 -- and comes equipped with a larger body and battery, but is otherwise identical.
Pros:
- The Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge's wraparound screen transforms an already great phone into Samsung's best-looking handset
- Ever.
Cons:
- That supercool design comes with a big price tag, and the screen doesn't deliver any real killer apps
- Like the regular S6, the Edge doesn't support swappable batteries or expandable storage.
