Best features of the Samsung Galaxy S4 Mini

Following its unexpectedly early launch it became clear that the Samsung Galaxy S4 mini features some impressive components and capabilities in spite of its mid-range nature. Of course expectations are bound to be high for this device since it is designed to emulate the full sized Galaxy S4 while...

Samsung Galaxy S4 Mini expert review

The S4 Mini is designed primarily as a mid-range device, but I personally find it is much more than that. The 4.3-inch screen feels as though it is the perfect size no matter how big your hands are, and doesn't look anywhere near as big as it actually is.

Samsung Galaxy S 4 Mini in-depth review - A lot of Galaxy S 4 features packed into a more compact design

The first thing you will notice about the Samsung Galaxy S 4 Mini is that it's not as miniature as you might expect. In fact, the device is around the same size as the iPhone 5, and in everyday terms we would not consider it a small smartphone.

Nice, scaled-down design; Decent camera; Great battery life; Very bright screen

Doesn't have a full HD; Only has a dual-core processor; Speakers aren't great

On the price, it actually had no significant effect: 400 euros for the "dwarf" - for 100 euros more you get the real McCoy, the larger Galaxy S4. Read on to find out whether the purchase is worth your while.

design; processing; microSD slot; good battery running time; current Android system (4.2.2; very good battery life

camera results unreliable; "S4" label misleading; too expensive

Samsung Galaxy S4 Mini review Review

The Samsung Galaxy S4 Mini is not merely a smaller version of the Android powerhouse, lacking as it does the same impressive lineup of specs as its big brother. Nevertheless, it still packs plenty of power and a decent screen into a very comfortable little body.

Small; comfortable size; Vivid screen; Plenty of power for most tasks; Decent camera

Mid-range specs don't justify high price; Multitude of settings won't appeal to newbies

Samsung Galaxy S4 mini Review

We were happy to spend time with the Galaxy S4 mini. When we got the chance to first meet it, on June 20, in London , we didn't know, form our brief hands-on, that there's so much more to this miniature Galaxy S 4 than meets the eye.

The Samsung Galaxy S4 mini we reviewed is the GT-I9195, meaning it has LTE capabilities; It was supplied to us by our friends over at, Clove.co.uk, from where you can buy it/import it from.

-like performance, but it was definitely there with its bigger brother, the S4, The Samsung Galaxy S4 mini we reviewed is the GT-I9195, meaning it has LTE capabilities; It was supplied to us by our friends over at, Clove.co.uk, from where you can buy it/import it from.

Samsung Galaxy S4 mini review

In Samsung's playbook, a mini version of the top smartphone is typically the first new addition to a flagship's fleet. Sticking close to a proven formula, the Galaxy S4 mini is a downsized and down-priced edition, but one that certainly wants to live its own life instead of just being the poor man's...

Quad-band GSM/GPRS/EDGE; quad-band 3G with HSPA; LTE, 4.3" 16M-color qHD Super AMOLED capacitive touchscreen; 256ppi, Android OS v4.2.2 Jelly Bean with TouchWiz UI, Dual-core 1.7GHz Krait CPU, Adreno 305 GPU; Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 chipset, 1.5GB of RAM, 8 MP autofocus camera with LED flash, 1080p...

720p screens available in the price range; No Air View; Air gestures or Multi-view; Underpowered; compared to the Galaxy S4; Played out design

Review Samsung Galaxy S4 Mini GT-I9195 Smartphone

With the Samsung Galaxy S4 Mini , t he South Korean manufacturer hit a bull's-eye once again. The smartphone is aimed at consumers who are looking for high performance but don't want to carry around a device practically half the size of a tablet.

Good performance; Main camera results; Manufacturing quality; Communication equipment; Infrared port; Very good display; Despite the fact that it has a plastic case; the smartphone feels good in your hand - you get the sense that it's high-quality and tough.

Price, Slightly high temperature, Low resolution front camera, The Galaxy S4's Full HD resolution is enticing; We'd like to have seen a higher resolution on the S4 Mini

Samsung Galaxy S4 Mini review: small in size, but not worth the mega price

As much as we'd like to see a device that fits the literal description of the Galaxy S4 Mini -- you know, a phone that's all but identical to the original GS4, just smaller -- Samsung clearly had something else in mind.

Solid camera with great video recording; Overall performance is decent for a mid-range phone; Easy and comfortable to hold

Display could be better; Priced too high for intended audience; Limited internal storage
