How to Get a Deal on Samsung's Galaxy S22
Samsung’s Galaxy S22 lineup is here. After you decide which one to buy, you’ll want to make sure you’re getting the best deal. As this is a brand-new smartphone, discounts will be scant, but you can find some savings if you pre-order or trade in an older model. For example, US mobile carriers are offering a free storage upgrade for those who pre-order the phone now. Buy the 256GB Galaxy S22, S22+ or S22 Ultra 256GB variant for the price of the 128GB or get the S22 Ultra 512GB for the price of the 256GB. Pre-orders are open until Feb. 24; the phones hit stores on Feb. 25. With no deals or trade-in discounts, the S22 starts at $799.99, the S22+ will run you at least $999.99, and the S22 Ultra is $1,199.99. The S22 Ultra offers 512GB and 1TB versions. Here's the spec breakdown on each phone. Samsung Galaxy S22 5G (128GB, Cream) - Excellent review
- Gorgeous display, good battery, stellar video capabilities
- Low-light photos could be better
- smaller Galaxy S22 doesn't have Wi-Fi 6E and Ultra Wideband support
Hands on: Samsung Galaxy S22 review
The Samsung Galaxy S22 is a hair smaller than its predecessor, and the cameras are slightly tweaked, but the changes begin and end there. It's a fine phone, especially for people who like small-body compact mobiles, but it's hard to get excited for the device.- Compact, hand-friendly size
- Good-looking display
- Limited upgrades over S21
- Small battery and slow charging
Samsung Galaxy S22 5G (128GB, Cream) - Excellent review
At a time when Google is battling non-stop bugs plaguing the Pixel 6 series , the Galaxy S22 shines. Samsung took a tried and true design, packed in the latest flagship processor, and made an Android smartphone that I could recommend to almost anyone. But, unfortunately, it’s not perfect.- Best-in-class performance, Premium hardware, Fantastic cameras
- Battery life could be better, Slower wired charging, No Wi-Fi 6E or UWB
Samsung Galaxy S22 5G (128GB, Cream) - Excellent review
The Galaxy S22 isn't a huge improvement or departure from last year's phone, but just like an "S-year" iPhone, Samsung has tweaked and elevated all the phone's most critical components.
Samsung Galaxy S22 5G (128GB, Cream) - Excellent review
