Samsung Galaxy S22 is the smartphone that most people will be buying. It comes with a premium, but not as premium as the Galaxy S22 Ultra. It offers everything a flagship smartphone should offer – good premium design, impressive cameras, good battery life, and solid performance.
Samsung Galaxy S22 5G (128GB, Cream) - Excellent review
So should you buy the Galaxy S22? It's a solid entry — it's compact, it's powerful, it has a great camera. And it has the promise of long support and updates, and it doesn't hurt that the phone itself looks very good.- Awesome display, Compact-ish, Good haptics, Good camera, OneUI is all grown up and fleshed out
- Not a huge improvement over S21, Battery life is a bit weak, Speakers need improvement
Samsung Galaxy S22 5G (128GB, Cream) - Excellent review
The Samsung Galaxy S22 sets the bar for what a flagship phone ought to be with outstanding build quality, one of the best displays of its kind and superb performance paired with an excellent rear camera array.- Superb 120Hz Dynamic AMOLED 2X display, Outstanding build quality and design, Excellent cameras, Smooth performance, 5 years of security updates
- Battery life could be better, No WiFi 6E, No UWB
Samsung Galaxy S22 5G (128GB, Cream) - Excellent review
The high-end Android phone of choice in 2022 — just go easy on the battery- Great performance, Big, bright, and smooth display, High-quality camera system, Excellent support policy, Good build quality, Top-tier performance, High-quality cameras, Excellent support policy, Good build quality
- Poor battery life, New night photography features are of limited use, Samsung UI still feels cluttered, Poor battery life, New night photography features are of limited use, Samsung interface still feels cluttered
Samsung Galaxy S22 5G (128GB, Cream) - Excellent review
At a time when Google is battling non-stop bugs plaguing the Pixel 6 series , the Galaxy S22 shines. Samsung took a tried and true design, packed in the latest flagship processor, and made an Android smartphone that I could recommend to almost anyone. But, unfortunately, it’s not perfect.- Best-in-class performance, Premium hardware, Fantastic cameras
- Battery life could be better, Slower wired charging, No Wi-Fi 6E or UWB
Hands on: Samsung Galaxy S22 review
The Samsung Galaxy S22 is a hair smaller than its predecessor, and the cameras are slightly tweaked, but the changes begin and end there. It's a fine phone, especially for people who like small-body compact mobiles, but it's hard to get excited for the device.- Compact, hand-friendly size
- Good-looking display
- Limited upgrades over S21
- Small battery and slow charging
Samsung Galaxy S22 5G (128GB, Cream) - Excellent review
- Gorgeous display, good battery, stellar video capabilities
- Low-light photos could be better
- smaller Galaxy S22 doesn't have Wi-Fi 6E and Ultra Wideband support
Samsung Galaxy S22 review: Little ambitions
The Samsung Galaxy S22 is exactly what most people expect from a premium handset, even if it's a little too easy to want more. It's as defined by its compact size as it is a distinct lack of surprises.- Smart camera improvements, Pocket-friendly form-factor, Ticks all the boxes
- Lacks high-end display features found in Ultra, Struggled with more demanding games, Does little to stand out from other premium handsets
