It’s big, powerful and very capable. If you’re after the very best Samsung Galaxy S21 model and money is no object, the Ultra is the one for you. It’s a big upgrade over the S20 Ultra, fixing the focus issues and improving battery life.
Pros:
- Great screen thanks to WQHD+ and 120Hz, Much-improved design with an attractive finish, Far more versatile camera than the iPhone 12 Pro Max
Cons:
- Expensive, with many cheaper phones offering the same features, Big and heavy, No charger included

Pros:
- Awesome camera zoom capability, Smooth, ultra-bright screen, Supports the S-Pen like a Galaxy Note
Cons:
- No charger: a cheap move, Some alternatives last longer between charges, UK Exynos version not as powerful as upcoming Snapdragon phones

Samsung’s Galaxy S21 Ultra is more affordable than last year’s flagship, has more cameras, and adds an S Pen: on paper, at least, what’s not to love? Setting the bar for smartphones in 2021, the daddy of the currently three-strong Galaxy S21 family promises more of that monstrously effective Samsung...
Pros:
- Fantastic 120Hz display makes no resolution compromise, 108MP camera is capable of great photos, More affordable than last year's flagship phone, Potent performance and long battery life, S Pen functionality is a welcome addition from Galaxy Note
Cons:
- No microSD, no Samsung Pay MST, and slower charging than the S20 Ultra, 100x Space Zoom still feels like a gimmick, S Pen implementation feels half-hearted

Great overall, but let down by the camera
I upgraded to the S21 Ultra from a Note9. I was looking for a phone with a similar size and weight, but with much better camera features. I don't know if this is a software issue, but there are often times with the S21 Ultra where the camera simply does not focus, which is infuriating when trying to capture a candid moment. I never experienced that with the Note9. I've also found that a lot of indoor pics at even 3.0x are splotchy and not at all sharp. Before you ask, yes I did remove the film from the camera lenses after unboxing. I haven't changed the camera settings from the default, so maybe that is where the problem lies.

The Samsung Galaxy S21 Ultra 5G offers not only a 3x telephoto lens, but also a 10x telephoto lens. As long as you don't use the additional digital zoom, then results can be very good.
Pros:
- New 10x telephoto camera, Consistant results from all cameras, Excellent colour, Excellent range of cameras, Speedy performance and snappy responses
Cons:
- No MicroSD memory card slot, Night mode images can have issues, High price

- Xiaomi Mi 11 is (almost) half the price, Lacks microSD expansion, No charger in the box

The Samsung Galaxy S21 Ultra is the very best of what Samsung can pack into a smartphone. It wowed us with a huge screen, five cameras and the best zoom on any readily available Android phone.
Pros:
- The best camera zoom, Mesmerizing design, S Pen support
Cons:
- Expensive at any level, No microSD card slot, Just 128GB of storage to start

Great phone with some serious flaws.
The design of the phone is great and there is a lot to like in regards to the screen, camera's 5G etc, however all of this is let down by the battery performance. The marketing of this phone says it has a battery that can last 24 hours, well that is certainly not the case for me. I am luck to make 10 hours and see me through a single working day. This doesn't appear to be the same for everyone as some people online are reporting up to 2 days battery life however it seams pretty hit and miss and Samsung appear to not care if you have any battery life issues.
