Samsung Galaxy S21 FE 5G (256GB, Graphite) AU - Excellent review
While the S21 FE is a totally acceptable phone, it’s one plagued by timing issues. Not just that the camera is slow and that the battery could be better, but timing in the release. The Galaxy S21 FE should have come out last year.
Pros:
- Nice to hold, Good screen, Supports 5G, Includes wireless charging, Water resistant, Technically good value
Cons:
- Camera can be slow to fire, Battery isn't amazing, The release timing is downright terrible, given the S22 and the obvious price drops of the S21

So… where does that leave the Samsung Galaxy S21 FE. If you’re looking at the phone in a vacuum, it’s a pretty spectacular device. The issues really only come to light when the $699 sticker price comes into play.

The Galaxy S21 FE is a great phone, launching at a pretty bad time.

- Impressive screen, Great performance, Decent battery life, Comes with Android 12 & One UI 4 out of the box
Cons:
- 6GB of RAM is not enough for everyone, Not as great of a value as the Galaxy S20 FE was, Camera is okay, nothing to write home about

The Samsung Galaxy S21 FE ticks multiple boxes, offering good performance and a well-thought-out feature list. It isn’t the most exciting phone I’ve reviewed recently, though, and I can’t help but feel it’s been released a little too late.

- A very complete package, Bright, colourful screen, An IP rating and Qi charging

- Overpriced compared to the competition, Camera not as good as Pixel 6, Average battery life and charging speeds

Is the Samsung Galaxy S21 FE relevant in 2022? One year after the release of the vanilla Galaxy S21 that can be purchased for the same price, and also unveiled just a few weeks before the launch of the technically superior Galaxy S22, this is one particular question that needs addressing.

- Bright, smooth and responsive 120Hz AMOLED display, Snapdragon 888 performance without overheating issues, Neat and modern design (despite all the plastic), Convincing wide-angle and 3x zoom camera module, Night Mode works great, 3 major Android versions and 4 years of security updates, IP68...
Cons:
- Mediocre battery life, Archaic 25-watt fast charging, No microSD port or 3.5mm audio jack, Charger is not included in the box, Price is not competitive
