The Samsung Galaxy S20 is the baby of the new Samsung flagship camera phone range. What do you get (and what do...
Samsung's Galaxy S20 makes you choose between a high refresh rate and high resolution
Galaxy S20 5G review: Top-shelf specs, but plenty of room for refinement
Premium, pocketable and packed with all the features you need to level up your photography and power you through the day. Of Samsung's three new Galaxy S20 5G phones, the smallest, cheapest Galaxy S20 is my favorite. It's just as stuffed with top-shelf features as the Galaxy S20 Plus and S20 Ultra, from its tack-sharp screen to advanced camera skills. But apart from screen and body size, the differences between S20 models are almost negligible. Of course, there are people who will want the S20 Plus and even Ultra instead, but for specific, personal reasons, and not out of a marked advantage in tools or performance. And yes, I do mean the Ultra's 108-megapixel camera and 100x zoom. (Wait for it…)- Small enough to use one-handed
- Excellent camera
- Top-notch features and performance
- Expensive
- Thick, heavy, unrefined
- Supports slower 5G only (except Verizon)

The Samsung Galaxy S20 has the right amount of exceptional features you can find in a flagship. It sure doesn’t go over the top with 5G and 100x zoom, but we consider it as the balanced choice even if the specs were toned down in some aspects.

- Gorgeous display with 120Hz refresh rate, solid battery life, 12GB of RAM, same camera as pricier S20+.
- Weird lag switching between camera modes, only works on sub-6 Ghz 5G spectrum.

The Galaxy S20 is so close to being the phone I’d tell everyone to buy for 2020. You won’t find a better display. You might not find a better in-hand feel. Battery life is solid. Performance is excellent. The software experience is smooth and feature-packed. There is so much good going on here.- Display, Hardware and Specs, Performance, Battery life, Design, Software, Camera, 5G, Price

The S20 series is Samsung’s first smartphones with multiple lenses and “Space Zoom” capability in a bid to match Huawei and OPPO’s camera system. The S20 and S20+ achieves respectable zoom quality for general use, but the S20 Ultra delivers better image quality.

The Samsung Galaxy S20 isn’t the most cutting-edge of Samsung’s S20 lineup – that honor goes to the Galaxy S20 Ultra – but it’s still a powerful phone with an ergonomic and attractive design, and the introduction of new features like 5G, the 120Hz display and upgraded rear cameras make it an...- A truly fantastic display, Strong camera performance, Lots of power and 5G-ready
