Samsung Galaxy S20 Cloud Blue 128GB SM-G980FLBDNZO review
It has almost become sort of a tradition for Galaxy S smartphones to be excellent high-end devices that are unable to keep up with their competitors in all aspects of smartphone life.- slim and lightweight case
- bleeding edge up-to-date software
- wide LTE band support
- support for 8K video
- great and very bright 120 Hz display
- 60 Hz gaming
- decent battery life
- 5G optional
- no aptX HD
- location services not particularly accurate at times
- many video features only up to FHD/30fps
- Exynos SoC throttles noticeably
- high temperatures under load
- no real telephoto lens
Samsung Galaxy S20 Cloud Blue 128GB SM-G980FLBDNZO review
For most people, the Samsung Galaxy S20 is the best Android phone available right now. This will likely be the biggest selling flagship Android device of the year, with a lot of happy customers.- Lovely screen
- A perfect size
- Huge camera improvements over the S10
- The fingerprint scanner is poor
- 120Hz refresh rate drains battery
- It looks just like every other Samsung phone
The Galaxy S20 Is Samsung's Magnum Opus
This Android phone gets the job done so well, you'll hardly ever stop to think about it.- Great screen. Excellent battery life. Stellar performance. The camera is versatile and pretty good. You get all the other features you want in a high-end smartphone (and then some).
- Pricey. The S20 Plus offers little value over the smaller S20. “Night mode” photography isn't as good as the competition. Camera focus issues persist.
Samsung Galaxy S20 Cloud Blue 128GB SM-G980FLBDNZO review
It has all the features you'd want in a flagship phone, plus a few more, without going overboard like the pricey S20 Ultra. The regular Galaxy S20 is the best Android flagship of 2020 so far- High refresh rate meets fantastic image quality
- Best hardware and build quality of any Android phone
- All-day battery life… usually
- 5G not worth it for many
- Camera image processing a bit strong
- RIP headphone socket
Samsung Galaxy S20 Cloud Blue 128GB SM-G980FLBDNZO review
The Samsung Galaxy S20 has the right amount of exceptional features you can find in a flagship. It sure doesn’t go over the top with 5G and 100x zoom, but we consider it as the balanced choice even if the specs were toned down in some aspects.
Samsung Galaxy S20 Cloud Blue 128GB SM-G980FLBDNZO review
The Samsung Galaxy S20 is the most manageable of the S20 lineup in terms of size and price, but it may get left behind with future 5G upgrades.- Well-sized for one-handed use
- Gorgeous 120Hz screen
- 8K video recording
- Most affordable Galaxy S20 model.
- Lacks high-band 5G
- Shorter battery life than other S20 (and S10) models.
Samsung Galaxy S20 Cloud Blue 128GB SM-G980FLBDNZO review
In previous years, a recommendation for the regular sized Galaxy S normally came with a caveat about battery life. With the S20, that's not necessary: this is a great flagship phone, full stop.- Fantastic display that dominates the front
- Great battery for a smaller phone
- Faster charging
- Lovely design
- Camera system is versatile
- OneUI software has its frustrations
- Agressive blur and shallow depth of field from camera
- Fingerprint sensor not always reliable

- Better zoom capabilities than most phones
- Very good battery life (but only at 60Hz)
- 120Hz option takes a heavy toll on battery life

Samsung Galaxy S20 Cloud Blue 128GB SM-G980FLBDNZO review
Few Android flagships look as good as the Galaxy S20, and fewer even sport features this advanced. Samsung’s latest sports a smooth 120Hz screen, versatile triple-camera setup and 5G support (depending on your carrier), making it one of the best Android phones on the market.- One-hand friendly design
- Smooth and beautiful display
- Long battery life
- No mmWave support on T-Mobile
- Cameras struggle with autofocus (pending software update)
Samsung Galaxy S20 Cloud Blue 128GB SM-G980FLBDNZO review
Delivering an industry-leading flagship user experience while juggling tech innovations, marketing strategy and pricing at the same time is a daunting task. It is no longer enough to put out a solid phone - you have to present it to the world just right and you have to price it accordingly.- Excellent build quality and bill of materials. IP68 rating
- You get all the flagship features the S20+ has, Familiar, yet modernized design and control layout
- Superb 120Hz AMOLED display
- Speedy charging solutions, incl. a 25W charger in the box, Very good stereo speaker setup.
