Samsung Galaxy S II review

This Samsung Galaxy S II is an excellent device that builds on the strength of its predecessor. We think this is one of the best phones on the market and, despite its cost, it beats the HTC Sensation thanks to the hardware.
Pros:
  • Light as a feather
  • fast internet
  • great text input
  • clear screen
  • reasonable battery life
Cons:
  • Expensive
  • fragile back cover

The release of the Samsung Galaxy S II has been met with huge anticipation and for good reason. Following the success of the original Galaxy S there were high hopes for Samsung's follow-up device. And those hopes have not only been met, they have been easily exceeded.

Samsung Galaxy S II (GT-I9100) Review

We all know now that Samsung are a force in the mobile phone industry but we also know that they really like the word ‘Galaxy' as they seem to use it with every phone they release with the exception of a few.

Samsung Galaxy S II Android phone

Let's start this review by getting one thing out of the way first: the Samsung Galaxy S II is the best Android phone on the market, by far. It may also be the best smartphone on the market, period; even if we think this ultimately comes down to personal preference.
Pros:
  • Excellent performance and brilliant display
  • Ultra-thin and light design
  • Great multimedia features
Cons:
  • Text hard to read when zoomed out in browser
  • Plastic battery cover and no camera button
  • Volume on earpiece could be louder

Samsung Galaxy S II dual core Android smartphone

The Samsung Galaxy S II is a significant improvement on its predecessor and a terrific Android phone. While the battery life isn't the greatest, its slim profile, powerful processor, 8Mp camera and (almost) all the latest treats Android has to offer, make it the top dog in its field.

Samsung Galaxy S2

Dual-core smartphones are coming thick and fast now and one of the most lauded contenders is the Samsung Galaxy S2 (or Samsung Galaxy SII i9100 to give it its full name). Following in the footsteps of its exceedingly popular predecessor, the Samsung Galaxy S , the new model packs in a whopping 4.3in...
Pros:
  • Incredibly fast
  • Dazzling 4.3in screen
  • Excellent video playback
  • Web browser supports Flash
  • Light for its size
Cons:
  • Too large for some
  • Plastic build doesn't feel premium
  • Poor call quality

REVIEW: Samsung Galaxy S 2

It's genuinely hard to find fault with the Samsung Galaxy S II. Though Android and Samsung's own TouchWiz UI still aren't quite up to the sleek standards of iOS, the hardware on show here makes this not only the greatest Android device we've seen so far, but a definite equal for the iPhone 4.

I wouldn't usually put up a post detailing my first thoughts on a device, seeing as though I only just received the Samsung Galaxy S II this afternoon, but you guys are just too insistent that I supply my thoughts to you as quickly as possible.

Samsung Galaxy S II Review

Is this phone an iPhone killer Well, if I was writing for a tabloid newspaper I'd have to say a definite "Yes". If, however, I'm being realistic I'd have to say "No". Why Because there won't be just "one iPhone killer".

Samsung Galaxy S II (Unlocked)

The finest Android smartphone available today, the unlocked Samsung Galaxy S II delivers in almost every way. Thing is, it's so expensive, it almost prices itself out of the market.
Pros:
  • Fast processor
  • 4G Internet speeds
  • Gorgeous screen
  • Great camera.
Cons:
  • Very expensive
  • Some bloatware
  • Screen resolution isn't cutting-edge.
