An awesome display

A genius camera set up
Samsung cameras have set the standard in recent times and the S10e is no excpetion. It consists of a 16MP ultra-wide + 12MP wide angle lens on the back, plus a 10MP front camera. Features include the Ultra Wide Camera which takes cinematic photos with a field of vision beyond what the human eye can see. No matter what sort of photo you want to take, the intelligent camera takes stunning photos by automatically optimising your camera settings to the scene.

You can create awesome moving pictures as well with video features that include 4K UHD video recording at 60 fps and dramatic Super Slow-mo.

Can you put a price on screen resolution, battery capacity and a zoom lens? Samsung can - it's £130. That's currently the difference between the S10e and full-fat S10 if you buy SIM-free direct from Samsung. Go for a contract deal from a major UK network and you're looking at a difference of just a few pounds a month to step up to the main event. Right now you've got to really want a shorter screen to go for the S10e, which is a shame - bigger isn't always better, and in some ways we actually prefer this smaller handset to the phone with which it shares a name. At launch, the S10e isn't quite cheap enough to be the affordable S10 alternative Samsung pitches it as - but hopefully with a discount or two, it could become a midlife bargain later down the line.- Hardware just as beefy as the real thing

Easy to use
The Samsung Galaxy S10e feels and looks great and I've found it so easy to navigate my way around, which is great using Android for the first time.

When the Galaxy S10 Lite launched, it did look like a promising phone. I was not sure the camera would be up to the claims. And yes, it will compete with the existing OnePlus 7, OnePlus 7T and others given the price. But after having used it, I can say the camera is quite impressive.
