While some say that the Galaxy S9 is Samsung's most underrated smartphone, it could be said to an extent. The reason - probably Samsung's inability to offer something exciting and different from its predecessors.
2018 is clearly the year where the $1000 flagship phone became the norm, but unlike other phones in this price range, Samsung isn't forcing users to compromise on one component or another.
Samsung's phones, with the exception of the Note 7, have grown better pretty consistently.
Glamorous design; Outstanding camera; Wireless charging; Fast processor; Great battery life; Useful S Pen
Pricey; Too big for some hands; Not everyone needs a stylus
The Galaxy Note 9 is a hell of a phone. It’s probably the best phone on the market today because it has and does everything. Excellent camera? Check. Excellent battery life? Check. Solid performance? Check. Amazing display? Check. All the storage, RAM, and connectivity you could ask for?

World-class 6.4-inch OLED display; Leading low-light photography; Excellent battery capacity; Excellent system performance; Up to 1TB of storage
Battery charging should be faster
There isn't another phone on the market quite like the Samsung Galaxy Note 9. It's unashamedly huge, seriously expensive, and jams pretty much every high-end feature into a surprisingly svelte package.
Battery lasts the day; comfortably; Fantastic; huge display with no notch; S Pen remains unique; Samsung's software has a number of handy features
The overall design of the S9 Plus is better; Bixby button is an annoyance
Samsung once again delivers the business smartphone of the year, nothing less is to be expected. Even the owners of the Note 8 have a lot to gain by switching to the Note 9. However, this does not have a lot to do with the S Pen: The new remote control functionality is neat, but not revolutionary.
