Samsung's Galaxy Beam has a cool, built-in projector
Never mind that the Samsung Galaxy Beam shoots 720p HD video or has a bright yellowjacket design. The one reason you're reading this is because of the quirky smartphone's capability to literally project the contents of your phone onto the nearest available surface. Your curiosity is justified.
Pros:
- The Samsung Galaxy Beam comes with an integrated pico projector
- a dual-core processor
- 720p video capture
- and a 4-inch Super AMOLED screen
Cons:
- The Galaxy Beam's projection software needs some work
- the 5-megapixel camera sometimes blurs indoor shots
- and the build is thicker and heavier than many of today's phones

Samsung may be locked in various legal battles around the world about whether or not it copied design elements from Apple's products, but there's no doubting that Samsung has produced some innovative products this year, including the Note 2 and the Galaxy Beam that we're looking at here.
Pros:
- Projector works really well in darker rooms

- Reasonably attractive design

- Very expensive given the spec
- Screen and camera could be better
- Runs an older version of Android

Samsung Galaxy Beam review

A bright little projector in an otherwise ordinary Android phone
Samsung has had this projector phone on the back burner for a while. But finally it's out in the market (at least where I live). Let's get straight to the projector. It works. It's impressive for something that's on a phone. And if you step back, it give you an image that's 50 inches.
