Samsung Galaxy Beam – easily one of the most unique smartphones you'll see this year

The hardware features of the Galaxy Beam aren't exactly top of the line, but it's not the most mediocre smartphone, either. There's a dual core NovaThor U8500 processor under the hood, with 768 MB of RAM and 8 GB of built in storage space, so you've got more than enough basic specs to run any apps.

Samsung Galaxy Beam review: stay for the projector, but nothing more

There's definitely some excitement to be had when reviewing a device so out of the ordinary, but we found it a little difficult to make a final judgment call. The Galaxy Beam does well at what it claims to be good at (projecting media), but it's otherwise mediocre at best.
Pros:
  • Projector works well
  • Excellent battery life
  • Solid and sturdy build
Cons:
  • Runs on obsolete build of Android
  • Low-end specs don't match professional needs

The issue is that most online trade-in programs will alter the payout amount after you have sent in your phone without giving you a choice. At www.smartphonecashin.com if you disagree with the payout amount, they will send you your phone back at no cost to you if prefer it.

Samsung GALAXY Beam

The Samsung Galaxy Beam confirms once more that technology has advanced a lot. And that Samsung is as clever as ever. This projector they included on the smartphone is a neat idea. It certainly makes things fresh. If you plan on buying the device just for that, you're free to do so.

  • two batteries + docking station
  • long battery life
  • sturdy workmanship

Samsung Beam I8520

I got these Samsung Beam  end of last year. It seems that the phone hangs like nobody business. With a 750Mhz processor, the phone just lacks when opening applications.
