Samsung Galaxy Beam - the projector-phone review
Samsung reputation is for well-priced, high-quality consumer products, not for wacky off-the-wall devices. So when we heard it had launched a phone with a built-in projector we wondered if the conservative company was a having a little wild fling, or whether this was something seriously brilliant.

We're not exactly sure why anyone would be interested in a smartphone with a built-in projector but that's exactly what Samsung has created. The Galaxy Beam is a run of the mill Android phone that boasts a built-in HD projector as its key feature, but with a brightness of just 15 lumens, we can't...
Pros:
- Built-in pico projector
- 12.5mm thick
- Good looking design
Cons:
- Brightness only 15 lumens
- Average specifications
- A little expensive given specs

Samsung Galaxy Beam
Will the Samsung Galaxy Beam be the projector-phone to finally crack the U.S. market? Slimmer, brighter, and more attractive than previous models, Samsung is pitching the Beam as a way for everyone to share their favorite movies and video clips with friends.
Cons:
- Runs Android 2.3 rather than 4.0
- Still not as bright as a dedicated projector

Samsung Galaxy Beam lights the way!
At a first glance, the Samsung Galaxy Beam features the generic smartphone appearance we have now become accustomed to. Do not be fooled. Samsung's latest smartphone sheds a light on ground breaking technology, sporting a projector module that shines with 15 lumen and nHD (640×360) resolution;...

Samsung Galaxy Beam expert review
The projector functionality was quick and easy to use, and I was surprised by the quality of the image when watching a film, even when projecting to quite a large size (1.2m). I was even more surprised when the battery lasted right through 2 hours of animated mammoths, sloths and squirrels!

Samsung Galaxy Beam review: Home cinema
The first attempts at a projector phone didn't quite work out for Samsung. For many that would be enough to call it a day, but not the Koreans. You don't become the world's number 1 phone manufacturer by giving up easily, so Samsung chose to take...

Samsung GALAXY Beam Review
The Samsung GALAXY Beam is certainly a specialty device. If you have a need for a projector that's also a smartphone, or a smartphone that's also a projector - this is your only real legitimate choice.

Samsung Galaxy Beam Android phone (preview)
The Samsung Galaxy Beam is definitely one of the more interesting releases of 2012 so far. It's essentially an average, mid-range Android phone that boasts a built-in HD projector as its key feature. With a brightness of just 15 lumens, however, we can't possibly see this feature being used for any serious entertainment or business. Samsung Galaxy Beam Review
Announced at Mobile World Congress earlier this year the unique selling point of the Samsung Galaxy Beam against all other mobile phones currently on the market is the built in projector on the top, but we'll get to that in [...

The new Galaxy Beam is a good successor to the previous Beam. The phone is sleek even though there is a projector. The projection is bright, and there are several features in the projector app. Since the 3.5mm audio jack is at the side, you can plug-in an external speaker while you project a video.
Pros:
- Built-in Pico Projector
- 2000 mAh battery with additional battery pack
- Hot swappable SIM card and microSD
Cons:
- Runs on Android 2.3 (Gingerbread
- Doesn't come with a prjector stand
