Samsung Galaxy A8 Review: Elegant phone, good battery and camera; will face-off with OnePlus 2
Samsung is on a phone-releasing spree. It has just released its latest A-series handset called the Galaxy A8 in the Indian market for Rs 32,500 and this announcement came in with the launch of its Galaxy Note 5 and Galaxy 6 Edge+ devices.

A-game
You don't need to be the best if you can be the crowd favorite. The Samsung Galaxy A8 is Samsung's thinnest smartphone yet and is certainly learning from the Note5 in some respects, but while it can't beat it on features it's likely to rival it on popularity.

Pros:

- Camera

Samsung Galaxy A8
The Samsung Galaxy A8 is a slight step down from the Galaxy S9 - or even the Galaxy S8 - in just about every way, but it still delivers many of the core features offered by the flagships. You can get more for your money elsewhere, but if you're set on Samsung there's little to complain about here.
Pros:
- Super-vivid OLED screen
- Quality build
- Excellent water resistance
Cons:
- Low light photos could be better
- No 4K video recording
- You'll find better value elsewhere

Samsung Galaxy A8 review: Better than the OnePlus 6
Almost everything here is above board, but the burning question is whether there's still room for a mid-range Samsung phone in 2018. With OnePlus and Honor dominating the charts, whatever Samsung manages to produce faces an uphill struggle – and I think the Galaxy A8 is no exception.
Pros:
- Bezel-less design
- Pixel perfect display
- Long-lasting battery life
Cons:
- Same price as the (better) OnePlus 6

With flagship phones costing more than ever – take the £1,000 iPhone X, for example – there's never been more pressure on manufacturers such as Samsung to deliver excellent "mid-range" phones at competitive prices.

- -All metal design
- Large vibrant display
- Thin profile
- MicroSD expansion
