In 2015, Samsung introduced the Galaxy A8. A year later, it released its successor called the Galaxy A8 (2016). The company, however, skipped 2017 and decided to release the 2018 model instead. To greet the New Year, here's our review of the Samsung Galaxy A8 (2018) .
* Premium build; * Nice display; * Good performance; * Good cameras; * Long battery life; * Water and dust-resistance
Design; Excellent Super AMOLED display; Front camera; IP68 certification; Battery life
Performance doesn't match price; 32 GB of storage; No Android Oreo
While all eyes are on the newly-launched Samsung Galaxy S9, the smartphone lineup of the South Korean manufacturer includes a plethora of other models that are at least worth a chance, especially because they seem to bring premium technology at a more affordable price.
With the Galaxy A8 (2018), Samsung has made a well-equipped mid-range smartphone that has a lot of things going for it. The design looks and feels premium while being IP68 rated. The Super AMOLED Infinity-Display is visually impressive, being well tuned, bright while also having a high resolution.
premium design; real Dual-SIM functionality; accurate GPS; water and dust proof; bright; well-tuned Super AMOLED display; good camera; fast charging
unable to uninstall pre-installed apps; PWM display flickering; internal storage not particularly fast; throttling under load
it has a very uncomfortable design in my opinion... I only bought it because of the camera...
Got the phone to replace S6 and I like it. Fingerprint scanner works better and in a good position on the back of the phone.
Un cellulaire correct, operative et très efficace
