Samsung Galaxy A53 5G Review

Samsung seems determined offer a phone with appropriate power at every possible price. With that in mind, the Galaxy A53 5G ($449.99) is no surprise because it fills the midrange gap in the company’s lineup. However, this handset doesn’t quite strike a compelling balance of price and performance. We like the phone’s vivid screen and large battery, but it isn’t as snappy as similarly priced competitors and its camera software could use a bit more work. The A53 5G almost certainly slots in between the forthcoming A33 5G and the Galaxy S21 FE ($549.99), but that’s not must-buy territory. Instead, we recommend either the S21 FE or the Google Pixel 6 ($599.99), both of which are worth the extra money.A High-End Design and Display The Galaxy A53's design takes a lot of inspiration from the S21 lineup. My primary phone is a Galaxy S21 Ultra, and even I found it difficult to tell it apart from the A53 once I flipped both over. The A53's camera bump is a little less sculpted and its matte ...

The Samsung Galaxy A53 looks and works fine, but you can get an appreciably faster phone if you expand your budget slightly.

Beautiful screen; Versatile cameras; Long battery life

So-so performance all around; No support for wireless charging

Bonus offer scam

Pre-order this product as a present. Bonus offer, Galaxy Buds advertisement on the website is so confusing. End up not having bonus offer as no one from good guys willing to help customers. Has been pushed to contact Samsung or 4-5 times good guys customer service. Will try not to shop at good guys in a future

Greatt phone

Very similar to my 9s . Working well. Easy to transfer data from the old to the new. Just check that all has been transferred. My full phone and photos didn't. Only realised it later when l went to check something. Does not have wireless charging.

Samsung Galaxy A53 5G review

The Galaxy A53 is a brilliant mid-range phone, with an excellent display, top camera, and software support bested only by Apple. But it suffers from one massive flaw: poor performance. At this price a phone shouldn't be so slow, and it makes the A53 difficult to wholeheartedly recommend.

Stylish design; Great display; Impressive cameras; Excellent software support;

Extremely sluggish performance; Slow charging; No charger included;

Samsung Galaxy A53 5G review: Safe, sensible, and a must-buy

The Samsung Galaxy A53 5G isn’t really all that different from the A52 and A51 that came before it, with Samsung clearly feeling it didn’t need to dramatically overhaul an already established (and very well received) formula. But was it the right decision, or has it resulted in stagnation for the popular A-Series mid-range device? It’s most definitely the former. Samsung has not only upgraded where necessary, but it also knocked $50 off the old price and left the phone alone in the places that matter. Well, mostly, at least. Let’s see if Samsung’s $449 Galaxy A53 5G is still one to buy. There’s almost nothing to separate the Galaxy A53 5G from the Galaxy A52 5G in terms of design. For me, the déjù vu was jarring and immediate because I was sent a white version for review, just like I was with the Galaxy A52 5G. There are some tiny differences in size — it’s 8.1mm thick, not 8.4mm thick like the A52 5G — but the weight remains the same at 189 grams. It’s made of plastic with Gorilla Gla...

Pretty design; IP67 water-resistance; Camera is great for social media; Vibrant screen; Two-day battery life;

Performance can be sluggish; Not an upgrade to the A52 and A52S;
