Samsung Galaxy A50 Review – A Smartly Made Mid-Range Flagship

Samsung recently allowed us the opportunity to review its Galaxy A50 and this may just be a perfect device if you're looking for a great mid-range device that doesn't break the bank.

Flagship Samsung software-experience across the board; Samsung OneUI is among the best Android skins; Dark/Night Mode; Comfortable in-hand feel; AMOLED 2K display; Great battery life; 15W fast charging; Responsive screen and apps; Top-tier performance; Rock solid connections/calling; 3.5mm headphone...

No IP rating for water and dust protection; Display is not well made for direct bright sunlight; Rear panel design is more akin to a budget device than a flagship; "Glasstic" back panel probably isn't durable; Built-in speakers are tinny; Audio enhancements on 3.5mm jack don't match the flagship...

Average phone

64gb are not suitable for samsung phones, upade software every day and all of them are very heavy download. Not a good touch, and fingre print would disappoint you very soon. I dont recomond samsung after one month test. And this package of disappointment got complete with vey very average camera.

Good Mid-Range Device

Overall the phone performs well. It's not a flagship by any means, but it has most if not all mainstream features. The Exynos 9610 blows the doors off of the SD630/636 found in many other mid-range phones.

OLED Screen; Comparatively fast chip set; USB C; Samsung ROM and Support; Storage Capacity

Camera and multimedia tools are mediocre

Samsung Galaxy A50 review: Mid-range phone with attractive camera, powerful battery

Given the price point, the Samsung Galaxy A50 offers good features and decent value for money. The camera is fairly good, however, the in-display fingerprint reader is a tad slow, however, this may get resolved in the coming updates.

Samsung Galaxy A50 Black Smartphone SM-A505GZKNNZC review

Though not water repellant like the Moto G7, the Galaxy A50 is worth the extra $50 for its superior camera and enduring battery.

The Samsung Galaxy A50 has a solid camera; an in-screen fingerprint reader; a headphone jack and a long-lasting battery -- all at an affordable price.

The phone can be buggy at times; its maximum video resolution is only 1080p and the speaker quality is tinny.

Samsung Galaxy A50 Black Smartphone SM-A505GZKNNZC review

Samsung got a lot of things right in the Galaxy A50 - the design and color options, the screen, the performance, and the battery life. The still images, while not impressive in detail, are of high-resolution and dependable as long as there's sufficient light.

Solid build and stunning paintjob; Excellent 6.4" AMOLED; Gaming-friendly Exynos 9610 chip; Versatile camera that does the job well during the day; Great portraits; nice selfies; excellent 1080p videos with stabilization; Dependable battery life

Samsung Galaxy A50 Black Smartphone SM-A505GZKNNZC review

While Apple, Samsung, Google, and Huawei launch flagships that cost more than $1,000 smartphone shoppers are discovering there are compelling offerings available for much less that do the job just about as well.

Gorgeous Super AMOLED display; Low price; All-day battery life; Correct placement of power and volume buttons; Solid performing camera system

Fingerprint magnet; No water resistance; even nano coating

Samsung Galaxy A50 Black Smartphone SM-A505GZKNNZC review

Otherwise, there's not much to separate the two phones. The Galaxy A50 features the same One UI interface Samsung introduced with the S10 lineup. The A50 includes the Bixby digital assistant, too, which may or may not be a mark in its favor, depending on your feelings toward Bixby.
