Samsung Galaxy A01 Black SM-A015FZKDTNZ review

The Samsung Galaxy A01 has charming design, vivid display, and solid battery life going for it, but it's not enough to make up for a lagging processor and nearly nonexistent storage.

Vivid display; Long-lasting battery; Small and stylish design

Poor performance; Minimal storage in the default configuration; Low-light photos are disappointing; No fingerprint sensor; Lacks Easy mode

Samsung Galaxy A01 Review

Samsung is best known for its Galaxy S and Galaxy Note lineups, but its Galaxy A series of entry-level and midrange smartphones is more budget-friendly than those flagships. The Samsung Galaxy A01 ($149.99) is the lowest-end offering in the series. Unfortunately, the A01 is more style than substance. In exchange for good looks and a bright and nearly bezel-free display, you’ll have to live with a painfully slow processor, scant storage, and underwhelming cameras. The $150 Motorola Moto e is a better bet.Bright and Bold Display   Take one look at the Galaxy A01 and you’ll know it’s a budget phone. Its plastic body and tiny camera module are dead giveaways. That’s not to say it’s ugly, however. In fact, it has a charming small phone aesthetic we’re quite fond of.  The Galaxy A01 measures 5.8 by 2.8 by 0.3 inches and weighs just 5.4 ounces. It’s the perfect size to slide into your pocket and light enough to hold comfortably for a long while.   The front of the phone is dominated by...

New Samsung Galaxy A01 Dual SIM 16GB 2GB RAM Smartphone Red review

This phone is honestly a great phone in every way except one. You cannot move apps to external storage. This ruins the whole phone because it only comes with 16G and that's not enough space to even have my basic apps without getting constant warnings that storage space is ruining out.

This phone does all I want it to do, and easy to use. It is synched for my emails, messages and everything else necessary and it performs well. Highly recommend.

New Samsung Galaxy A01 Dual SIM 16GB 2GB RAM Smartphone Red review

The Samsung Galaxy A01 is a pretty decent, basic smart phone. It meets most of my simple needs. Main flaw is that the touch screen is very temperamental. The right-most edge of the screen is very difficult, having to press and hold the right side keyboard digits for up to a second or more before it...

New Samsung Galaxy A01 Dual SIM 16GB 2GB RAM Smartphone Red review

Has a lot of good features. As someone who converted from a flip phone, there wasn't much training or advice upon purchase as to how to use the phone that would have been helpful.

Galaxy A01 review: Bare-bones smart phone for the budget conscious

The Galaxy A01 is a no-fuss, low-priced Android phone that is the cheapest member of Samsung's A-series of budget phones. Priced at $150 (though we've seen it on sale for as low as $100 unlocked from Samsung), the phone's bare-bones hardware and features -- like its plain design and low-resolution display-- aren't much to get excited about. But the handset covers the basics well enough that, for its low price, it should be a decent device to snap photos, check email, watch videos and, of course, make calls.

If you have $100 to spend on a phone, you need one that covers its bases. Fortunately, the Galaxy A01 can do that.

Affordable; Headphone jack; Decent camera;

Meager onboard memory; Camera's Live Focus is inconsistent; Can be slow at times;

New Samsung Galaxy A01 Dual SIM 16GB 2GB RAM Smartphone Red review

1. All apps, especially almost all system default apps cannot be transferred from internal memory to SD card. 2. To transfer an App, go to Settings, then Apps, then choose an App, then press Storage.
