Screaming Fast and Affordable

The 960 Pro is screaming fast and a very welcome work horse for my new build. Read and write speeds have increased dramatically over my old 7200 rpm Hybrid HD. Well worth the cost. Long life, great warranty, low cost when on sale, who could ask for more.

Blazing Fast NVME Drive

I've installed Windows 10 Professional on this 960 Pro NVMe drive as a boot drive, and it is blazing fast. I have not encountered reports of throttling due to heat, in part because I am using this 1 TB drive as a boot drive and have offloaded the majority of file operations to secondary and tertiary...

Excellent, nice and fast. Been running a few months now and not any issues. In a Media Center PC where several TV programmes can be recorded at once and playback of others. Need to use Samsung's drivers to get the best and there may be a firmware update (which didn't trash content already on it for...

super sample streaming

Rapid response, fastest load times was seen in Omnisphere 2 which is my go-to-vsti. Streaming permits samples to largely reside on disk. In this way you can use large samples with a relatively small amount of memory according to Spectrasonics. Load times was compared with 850 Pro SSD.

Happy with the SSD

If only the OS worked as well as the SSD.

- Excellent system responsiveness: quick start ups; quick program and large file loads - Lot of space to spare and use - Samsung Magician is an easy enough program to use for general drive info / data

- RAPID mode is not enabled under the NVMe SSDs; only works for SATA SSDs

Samsung has spent the past few years at the peak of the consumer SSD market, with every new drive pushing performance forwards and attracting plenty of attention.

Speed, Power, what else do you want

Without question one of the fastest if not THE fastest drive on the planet currently. I do a lot of photo and video editing, and this drive combined with a powerful processor (like the i7-7700K) is a killer combination. At times I think the drive is faster than the processor.

Samsung 960 Pro 512GB review

The typical SSD often comes in a 2.5in form factor, while being connected to a SATA III bus. However, the old technology is slowly losing favour with consumers, as its interface provides a bottleneck in performance.

I`d say most of people dont really need it, its only for the insane people ,lol . had two 950 Pro in the past, but had heat issue with em, the 960 Pro seems fixed it, if you are looking for the fastest M.2 , this is it.

top of the line; only for insane people

expensive ; and have to wait ; grabbed mine after 2 weeks waiting

Fast means that the OS (Windows 10) loads in second(s) and that all the applications using disk are better than ever before

Fast. After installing it with 1 small screw, all other mass storage devices look BIG and CLUNKY. Fat means that the OS (Windows 10) loads in second(s) and that all the applications using disk are better than ever before. I can see this form factor becoming the mainstream soon.
