Samsung 20mm f/2.8 NX review by lol101
Another very nice and useful lens for the NX if you like a moderate wide angle. Construction is excellent, AF near silent and performances very high (although a notch down from the 30mm). iFn is also nice to use for changing parameters in a seamless way.
Pros:
- Good resolution qualities
- small and light
- iFn button
- cheap
Cons:
- Some distorsion and chromatic aberration

A decent pancake wideangle. Despite being worse than the 30mm, this thing has spent more time on my NX10 for a single reason - the FOV is more exciting on this one.
Pros:
- Wide enough to be exciting
- Sharp from f/4 onwards
Cons:
- Corners soft at f/2.8

REVIEW: Samsung 20mm f/2.8 NX iFunction Pancake
This 20mm pancake lens for Samsung NX series cameras sports a bright f/2.8 maximum aperture, compact and lightweight design and offers a field of view equivalent to a 30.8mm lens on a 35mm camera.

Disappointing
Although this lens is compact, its performance leaves much to be desired. It's slower and not as sharp as the 30mm. If anything, pictures of the same scenes looked worse than with the 18-55 @ 20mm at the same apertures, and while the 18-55 is bulkier, at least it comes with OIS and better AF.

Samsung NX 20mm f/2.8 ( W20NB ) - Review / Lab Test
Pancake lenses cannot be perfect - the small size simply implies some compromises. However, the Samsung NX 20mm f/2.8 does a pretty good job actually. At f/2.8 you have to live with some corner softness and quite high vignetting.

- Decent optical performance in the centre
- Low distortion
- Low falloff
- Good build quality
Cons:
- Performance not nearly as good towards the edges of the frame
- High CA levels towards the edges when the lens is stopped down beyond f/8

Small, nice and accurate, but picture is not the best
Too much distortions, the picture is not the best. Kit lens make better work in this 20 mm focus. I prefer 30 mm F/2.0 lens.

Favorite lens for nx1000
I use this lens with my samsung nx 1000 so frequently that I haven't carried the 20-50 kit lens around since. in terms of sharpness it is pretty comparable to the kit lens and gives a good level of sharpness above f3.5 with some soft corners wide open which is generally to be expected.

- Easy To Use
- Inexpensive
- Reliable
Cons:
- Bulky
- Not sharp wide open
