PlayStation 4 Sackboy A Big Adventure 9820222 review

Another gorgeous looking first party PS5 game, with some fun and imaginative platforming, but even with four players at once it lacks that certain spark that would’ve made it a true launch essential.

Superb presentation and highly accessible gameplay for all ages and types of players; Increasingly inventive level design offers a regular stream of new ideas; Fun four-player local co-op.

The pacing is off in terms of the slow movement and too many boring, predictable levels at the start of the game; Sackboy is a pretty dull hero, with few other characters of note; No online at launch.

Sackboy A Big Adventure review: It'll have you in stitches

From the voice acting, to the replay factor, the graphical finery, and superb multiplayer (shame that's not online for launch, only in-person co-op), Sackboy is another title to assert PlayStation's ongoing success. So if you want something that bucks the trend, that feels fresh and fun, then this is simply a must-have platform game.

Masses of replayability value; Superb co-op multiplayer; Graphical fidelity and textures brings real charm; Voice acting is marvellous;

Pace can feel slow at times; Some quirks with depth perception; No online multiplayer at time of release;
