Making a sequel to a hit game is tricky business. If you simply rehash the original, fans will complain that it's more of the same. But if you change too much, you risk losing what made the original special. The RollerCoaster Tycoon series stands as good evidence of these potential pitfalls.

When Rorschach reviewed RollerCoaster Tycoon 2 , he joked that he thought maybe somebody had slipped him RollerCoaster Tycoon instead, because the sequel looked and played so much like the original.

I agree to the last review.. I have the newest computer on the market (well, xp superprocessor) and it goes slow for me too if I use sandbox for example and put too much in the park..

The RollerCoaster Tycoon series has proven remarkably popular over the years, despite average graphics and a slightly clunky interface. RCT2 disappointed many fans, but the loyal Tycoon community continued to share new scenarios and rides while waiting for the Holy Grail to turn up.

This is the response I received from Atari when my disc was not working: " Unfortunately, we do not handle or provide replacements for lost or damaged retail discs." Please be cautious when buying their products.

Now this is what I call a real masterpiece. I know the game came out years ago but no doubt it is still currently (for me) the best game in the world where I can truly expand my imagination without boundaries. I could play this for years and still not run out of ideas.
