Resident Evil 5: Collector's Edition Review (PS3)

Well, Army of Two may want to take note of how partner based gameplay can be done with nary a hitch. Resident Evil 5 manages to pull off AI partner and co-op gameplay as well as any videogame out there. Unfortunately, it had Resident Evil 4 to live up, which is no small task.

Luscious graphics and animation; Playing with a partner is a blast; Decent replay value and tons to find; Resident Evil is still an incredibly tough series to beat; Luscious graphics and animation; Playing with a partner is a blast; Decent replay value and tons to find; Resident Evil is still an...

Slow; stop and shoot gameplay isn't for all gamers; Overly cinematic; seems to want to be a movie as much as a game; Getting online games started is a chore; Slow; stop and shoot gameplay isn't for all gamers; Overly cinematic; seems to want to be a movie as much as a game; Getting online games...

Resident Evil 5

Resident Evil 4 was a departure from many of the things that made the series iconic, replacing the tense survival horror atmosphere and frenetic fights with hordes of the undead with a more action-oriented approach to horror.

Resident Evil 5 PS3

Once upon a time, there were two big names in survival horror, one was the Silent Hill series and the other being Resident Evil. Resident Evil (known as Biohazard in Japan) began on the Playstation platform has spawned numerous sequels and related titles.

Beautiful Graphics; Intense game play; Co-op campaign mode (both local and online

Controls can be frustrating; Not a survival horror game

Resident Evil 5

It's not at all disappointing that the suppositions of racism dogging Resident Evil 5 proved groundless. And yet if the story had actually been insensitive (or if it had been intentional exploitation to trump 50 Cent's game), there would be a lot more to think about.

The intricately detailed environments.

You… still… can't… fucking… move while shooting or reloading

Resident Evil 5 Review Review

'Resident Evil 5' has finally hit shelves. With all the fanfare surrounding the latest 'Resident' storyline installment, does this game live up to the hype or fall short? Is the single-player campaign fun, or is this a co-op focused experience?

Exceptional Visuals; Solid co-op; especially split-screen; Some fresh environments

Support A.I makes 1-player agonizing; Several uninspired scenarios and sequences; Some Questionable use of Stereotype

Resident Evil 5

Resident Evil 5 , much like Resident Evil 4 before it, looks simply beautiful - well, most of the time. The graphics are crisp and detailed and the player is able to see every little detail, from the red eyes of the infected Majinis you'll be battling against, to the pulsating flesh of the bad-ass...

Resident Evil 5

All these bonuses coupled with the gameplay, the new in game item swapping method as well the ability to play with old friends and even make new friends via the online mode makes this game a new intense experience where surviving with your partner is key to finding out what's going on in Kijuju.

Resident Evil 5 (PS3)

Resident Evil 4 was such a masterpiece that the hype was truly massive for this game, so the question is "does it live up to the hype?" The short answer is: "Yes, absolutely." The other question, "is it as good as Resident Evil 4?
