Solid but...

This was a decent game for the first chapter or section or whatever. Sadly when you get to a certain point the story line falters and it turns the puzzles into a kind of grind that I wasnt really about

This game came out for phones years ago. It just feels old and it clunky. The graphics got an improvement on PS4 but it looks shiny and weird, not realistic, and not cool style. It was very glitched on the phones and took forever for the levels to come out.

Good game, some minor gripes

This is a good game, not my normal genre but good nevertheless. The camera angles etc can be a bit of a pain and some parts leave you wondering what the aim is.

Paranoid, but not an android.

It begins with a plea for help, a closeup of a teenage girl's panicked face, clandestinely whispering about being "erased." Her name is Hope. You don't know why she's called you. You can't quite tell where she is. But you know she's frightened, and everything is horribly wrong.

Simple; intuitive and fun stealth gameplay; Great example of environmental storytelling; Compelling, engaging; well-plotted mystery; Excellent voice acting

Lacks in tension due to the inability to fail; Frequent hat tips to its Kickstarter roots kill immersion

Republique

Stellar production value and a fantastic premise can't save Republique's clumsy stealth-action or its uneven story and pacing.

Unique concept and presentation; Voice acting and sound design is fantastic

Clumsy stealth; Unsatisfying narrative and pacing

Be Big Brother

The classic image of the surveillance state-one of all-seeing cameras following normal citizens doing their daily business-is now a bit quaint. The reality is less a forest of glass-and-steel eyes than an invisible stream of data flooding into hungry servers, ready to be parsed, interpreted, and...

Top-notch worldbuilding and a stellar voice cast..

...wrapped around a lukewarm stealth game

Republique Review – PlayStation 4

"Destiny's on line two, so pick up the ******* phone already". That little gem of inspiration is brought to you by the big instigator Zager in the Kickstarter-funded title Republique by developer Camouflaj.

Positives + Immersive and captivating story + Collectibles that are relevant to story + Sharp vibrant visuals + Great voice acting and well blended music

Negatives; Auto camera switching problematic; AI Guards mostly incompetent; Longer delays between camera jumps; Chapters can't be replayed to pick up missed collectibles
