I bought the R9 shaver 29 September 2019 & am not impressed. It is the worst shave from an electric shaver (plug-in, battery, straight cutter, rotary cutter) that I have used in 50 years. The only shaver my partner asks "have you shaved today?". I have now used it for 2 months wet, with gel, with liquid soap, & dry. I've tried different techniques as suggested but the shave is still unsatisfactory. The counter-rotating heads don't seem to provide much other than to use more battery power. FAILED "our most comfortable close shave" IS NOT TRUE

After using this shaver it felt like I had shaved 12 hours prior, even the wife complained!! I then used a 152 year old 15 shaver and that gave me a cleaner cut. Sent it back for refund after 3 shaves, very disappointing.

I purchased it about 3 weeks ago. It does not provide a close shave. A blade is far better. Overall assessment is it will be my back up shaver. A positive is the battery lasts a long time.

Unfortunately does not live up to the hype. It does not shave as close as the old Phillips one it was meant to replace. I have already returned it for a refund as per your guarantee.

Fantastic for sensitive skin even with a think stubble. The long listing battery makes it perfect for weekend getaways.
