Great fun game with some really nice graphics and cool story

ReCore is a solid foundation for a pretty broken game. If you picked up the lead character and dropped her into a totally different world the game would probably play brilliantly. However, the bugs and bad pacing in the late game really hold back ReCore from excellence.

The game is fun and excuting. But too many bugs, insanely long loading times, and bad level design all make reCore more like a chore than a game. Too bad.

Half the price it originally was, but now twice as good – this third person take on Metroid Prime has been remastered into the game it always should have been.

Comcept and Armature Studio whisked up a sizeable following when they debuted ReCore at E3 2015, only to wind up with mixed reactions at this year's convention. Those who walked away were sour over how the actual gameplay looked, and those sentiments only wound up proven at launch.

ReCore is a Jekyll and Hyde kind of game. For everything it does well, there’s a shortcoming that should have been eradicated before it came your way. With some extra thought and polish, it’s got ‘cult classic’ written all over it. Unfortunately, that’s not how things turned out. Nor are we desperate to find out what might be if its developers are given a crack at ReCore 2. Nope, this one seems better off left to history and the curious. An occasionally glorious failure.
